Sukstorf Doubles Through Powell

Nível 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Scott Sukstorf
Scott Sukstorf

On the hand just before the break, Scott Sukstorf limped in middle position, Reginald Powell limped on the button, the small blind called, and the big blind checked.

The {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop saw the blinds check, Powell bet 250,000, and both Sukstorf and the small blind continued.

The {4-Diamonds} came on the turn and after two checks, Powell jammed. The small blind folded and Sukstorf went into the tank. He appeared to agonize over the decision before finally announcing a call for his last 2,800,000.

Scott Sukstorf: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Reginald Powell: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Sukstorf just needed to fade a six to stay alive, and the {10-Clubs} harmlessly completed the board, as Sukstorf pounded the table and exclaimed "Yes! Yes! Yes!".

"That was the hardest call I made in the whole tournament", he said as he raked in the pot.
