Eveslage the Latest Late Entrant to Fall

Nível 11
Chad Eveslage
Chad Eveslage

Players that late registered today have not fared well, and Chad Eveslage is the latest victim.

Shortly after losing that last hand, Eveslage was all-in on the final draw and drawing one. Mike Thorpe had his cards tabled, showing {j-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}, while Eveslage showed four cards to an eight.

Thorpe encouraged Eveslage to not squeeze and quickly flip his card up, and he did so, slapping another {8-} onto his other {8-} for a losing hand, eliminating him from the tournament.

The table erupted and Eveslage put his face in his hands.

"I need to get that on video," Jake Schwartz said to Thorpe from the next seat over. "Next time you do that I need a warning."

A few moments later, Phil Hellmuth stepped over from a nearby table to weigh in.

"Could you be any louder, Mike?"

Kessler Drags Huge Pot

Nível 11
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

A huge pot recently developed four ways with Allen Kessler the ultimate beneficiary.

Action was picked up late, but according to tablemate Nathan Gamble who observed the crazy pot, four bets each went in predraw between Kessler, Walter Chambers, Andrew Kelsall and Anthony Zinno.

More bets went in on the first round, and on the second round, the action saw Kessler lead from the big blind, Chambers fold with just 12,000 chips left, Kelsall raise in middle position, Zinno fold and Kessler call.

Heads-up at the end, both Kessler and Kelsall patted their hands and Kessler checked. Kelsall checked behind dodging what would have been a check-raise, as Kessler rolled over a wheel to drag the huge pot.

Shortly after, Chambers' last 12,000 chips ended up in the middle and didn't come back, as he's been eliminated from the tournament.
