James Woods flat called from the button with the low stack of around 325,000 and found three callers, including Kristan Lord in early position. The flop came and action checked to Woods on the button. Woods bet and Lord raised. The rest of the table got out of the way and Woods reraised for the rest of his chips.
James Woods:
Kristan Lord:
Woods had flopped three jacks but Lord had the full house. The board ran out with a turn and river and gave Woods a Broadway straight, but it didn't matter and Woods was eliminated from the tournament in 8th place for $12,702 in cash.
All of Matusow's chips went in the middle against Julia and he was in the lead with a straight on sixth street versus the trip sixes held by Julia.
On seventh street, Julia filled up and held the winning hand of sixes full of deuces, and Matusow was eliminated in 9th place and took home $12,702 in cash.
Robert McLaughlin won a pot without showdown against Aditya Prasetyo to essentially even out the stacks of both players. In the meanwhile, Kenny Hsiung lost a decent chunk of his stack to become the far shortest stack on this table with Justin Liberto way ahead.
On the second draw already, Matt Vengrin and Robert McLaughlin took one each. Vengrin bet and McLaughlin check-called. Vengrin then patted while McLaughlin took one. McLaughlin then bet one and Vengrin had fewer than the full bet behind, suck back into his chair.
Eventually, he called it off and McLaughlin tabled the for an eighty-six low. Vengrin only had the and was eliminated in 10th place.
Justin Liberto pulled further ahead at the top of the leaderboard when he claimed a large pot of Robert McLaughlin, who called with a pair of jacks showing. Liberto tabled a set of sixes and McLaughlin mucked his cards in disgust when bets went in on each street.
"Oh come on, give me a break," Matt Vengrin moaned when he was all-in and made a straight and low against Justin Liberto. However, Liberto made tens full of aces until sixth and they chopped. "Against him today, that is a break," Aditya Prasetyo remarked.
Liberto then lost a pot to Robert McLaughlin to lose some of his massive stack.
Bradley Ruben ended up at risk on fifth street and was shown split eights by Justin Liberto. Ruben caught a pair of sevens on sixth while Liberto already had aces and eights by then. Liberto didn't improve anymore but Ruben only caught inferior two pair to bust in 11th place for $9,719.
The action was picked up after the second draw with Robert Mizrachi who fired out a big bet and was called by Kristan Lord.
The final draw Mizrachi stood pat and Lord drew one. Next, Mizrachi checked and called after Lord fired out a bet. Then, Mizrachi tabled for an eight-seven low and Lord whirled his cards into the muck.
