Seiver and Coleman Double Up

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

At one table, Scott Seiver was all in for 69,000 on a board reading {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Amir Mirrasouli admitted he misread his hand but still called with 300,000 in the middle. Seiver showed {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair while Mirrasouli held {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} for one pair. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Seiver improved to a straight to double up.

Next door, Maxx Coleman was all in for just over 100,000 with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Eric Kurtzman called and turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs} to give both players a flush, but Coleman's was higher as he doubled up.

Yu Doesn't Fire the Turn and River

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Nathan Zimnik raised the button and Ben Yu three-bet the pot out of the big blind, which Zimnik called. On a {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Yu continued for 150,000 and earned a call from Zimnik. Yu then opted to check the {4-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river as Zimnik checked back.

Yu's {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a bluff were exposed and Zimnik won the pot with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Arieh Felted by Wong

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Josh Arieh raised it up to 54,000 and was called by Jerry Wong in the big blind. Wong checked the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and Arieh bet all his remaining T-5,000 chips. The check-shove of Wong followed and Arieh called for the 40,000 he had behind.

Josh Arieh: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Jerry Wong: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Neither the {3-Spades} turn nor the {5-Diamonds} river improved Arieh and he was sent to the rail. Moments later, Michael Batell followed as the field continued to shrink at a rapid pace.

There are now just 41 players still in the mix and the top 32 spots get paid.

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Will Jaffe
Will Jaffe

In a preflop all-in contest, Will Jaffe was at risk against LaDarren Banks and both players turned over pocket aces.

Will Jaffe: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
LaDarren Banks: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board gave Banks two pair and that spelled the end for Jaffe.

Lamb Makes Quads to Eliminate Weisman

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Dylan Weisman opened to 16,000 in early position and Ben Lamb three-bet to 56,000. Weisman announced "pot" and put in the raise to 176,000 with just 27,000 behind. Lamb five-bet to put Weisman all-in and he called.

Dylan Weisman: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Ben Lamb: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

"I'm looking for a set," Lamb said as he saw that his spades were not live.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to give Lamb his set, and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn improved him to quads. The meaningless {5-Clubs} peeled off on the river and Weisman was eliminated.

Lamb said it was the third time today that he's made quads.

Jamasi Takes Down Racener

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

John Racener was one of the shortest stacks left in the room and he raised the pot in early position. Farhad Jamasi called from the big blind and the flop came {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Jamasi led out with a bet, enough to put Racener to the test for his remaining 40,000 chips. It was evident that Racener didn't have much in his hand as it took at least a minute for him to call.

John Racener: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Farhad Jamasi: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Jamasi flopped three pair but the {9-Diamonds} on the turn was Racener's dream card. He picked up an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. Unfortunately, the {9-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Jamasi eliminated Racener.

Le Nearing the Average

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 40,000 from under the gun and was called by Tommy Le from one seat over, [Removed:321] Arani also called from the big blind. The {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop brought no betting action and the {9-Clubs} appeared on the turn. It checked to Le and he bet 60,000 in order to force two folds, further mounting his miracle comeback from two blinds.

Kurtzman Chips Up Against Cheong

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Four ways to the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop with Joseph Cheong as the initial raiser from under the gun, the action checked around and the {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Eric Kurtzman now bet 100,000 and Maxx Coleman sigh-folded in the big blind and Cheong called, Michael Kamran also folded in the cutoff.

Kurtzman bet the {q-Clubs} river for 180,000 and Cheong paid it off to get shown the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for trip queens with a king kicker by Kurtzman, which was the winning hand.

Yu is the "Silent Assassin"

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Ben Yu
Ben Yu

Ben Yu on the button was in a heads-up pot against Frank Crivello on a board reading {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts} with at least 175,000 in the middle.

Crivello bet 150,000 and Yu made a pot-sized raise to put his opponent all-in for 250,000 more. Crivello gave it some thought and folded.

"Silent assassin," Bryce Yockey said as his table mate raked in the pot.
