Lewis Eliminated by Zimnik

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In a preflop contest, Toby Lewis got his stack of around 300,000 in the middle and was looked up by Nathan Zimnik, who held the slightly superior stack size.

Toby Lewis: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Nathan Zimnik: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Lewis picked up a gutshot on the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop but failed to get there on the {3-Diamonds} turn and {10-Clubs} river runout. After being well above the average before the dinner break, Lewis suddenly departed in 41st place.

Elezra Triples Up With Broadway

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Eli Elezra moved his remaining chips into the middle on a {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, and found two callers in Jonathan Witz and Travis Doran. Both Witz and Doran checked the {4-Diamonds} turn and {10-Spades} river, before Elezra turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the straight. Witz and Doran both mucked, as Elezra tripled his stack.

At the next table over, Aaron Wallace was eliminated in 35th place after he was unable to beat Ashly Butler's straight.

Benyamine Eliminated in Huge Pot Against Morris

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
David Benyamine
David Benyamine

Tommy Le raised to 35,000 and Arthur Morris three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff. David Benyamine then reraised the pot to 347,000 in the small blind and Le was sent into a short tank before he then folded. Morris called after some 15 seconds of consideration and they headed to the {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop.

Almost immediately, Benyamine jammed for around 500,000 and Morris talked more to himself than his opponent. "I guess you have aces there," Morris whispered and then called for a big portion of his remaining stack.

David Benyamine: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Arthur Morris: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {k-Spades} turn changed nothing yet for Morris but he indeed got there on the {j-Diamonds} river with the bottom end of the straight to score a pot of more than 1.75 million chips.

Matusow Over A Million

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mike Matusow has been steadily chipping up since the dinner break and just crossed the one million chip mark in a big hand with John Racener.

On the flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}, Matusow check-called a Racener bet of 45,000 to see a turn of the {3-Clubs}, Again Matusow checked, and this time he faced a bet of 115,000. Matusow cut out the chips and slid them forward.

The river brought the {q-Clubs}, and again Matusow checked. This time Racener checked behind, and Matusow declared "ace-queen", as he showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, as his straight draw turned into top two pair and earned him the pot.

Matusow Under A Million

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Just after sending his stack over the million chip mark, Mike Matusow gave a chunk back in a cooler versus Daniel Zack.

With over 150,000 in the middle already on a river board reading {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Matusow faced a bet of 140,000 from Zack.

Matusow begrudgingly flicked in a calling chip and Zack showed him the last ten in the deck with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

"Only hand I lose to," said Matusow.

"I'm allowed to lose that one, it's okay. I was having too much fun there for a while"

Elezra Dents the Wall

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jonathan Witz's huge wall of chips has been shrunk first by a color-up of his huge pile of orange 5,000 chips, and now by a pot with Eli Elezra.

On a turn board of {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Witz bet 120,000 and Elezra called.

The action checked through on the {a-Diamonds} river, and Elezra showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}, as his top pair and flush draw turned into a winning top two-pair.

Krasienko Eliminates Wong

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mike Krasienko was in a limped pot with Brandon Wong, and both players checked the {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. Krasienko checked the {10-Spades} turn and Wong bet the pot. Krasienko then check-raised enough to put Wong all in, and Wong called.

Brandon Wong: {9-}{8-}{7-}{6-}
Mike Krasienko: {k-}{j-Spades}{10-}{2-Spades}

Krasienko had the hand locked up with a flush to Wong's straight draw, with an irrelevant {7-} on the river eliminating Wong in 31st place.
