Zeidman Breaks Cold Streak

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Cory Zeidman raised under the gun and John Esposito called the two bets from the next seat over. Action folded around and Ziya Rahim came along from the small blind. Ian Feller called from the big blind.

Zeidman drew one, Esposito drew two, Rahim drew two, and Feller drew three.

Rahim and Feller checked after the first draw and Zeidman bet. All three players called.

For the second draw, Zeidman stood pat, Esposito drew two, Rahim drew two, and Feller drew one.

Rahim and Feller checked again and Zeidman bet. Esposito folded and Rahim called before Feller got out of the way.

Zeidman was pat and Rahim drew one. Both players checked.

Zeidman turned over {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

"Beats my pair," Rahim said as he threw the losing hand into the muck.

According to Zeidman, this pot breaks a streak of three lost hands to start Day 2.

Owen Extends Lead Early

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Day 1 chip leader Adam Owen is picking up right where he left off Sunday.

Owen limped his small blind, then called a raise from Steven Gurney-Goldman in the big blind.

Both players drew two cards, then Owen led out with a bet, which Gurney-Goldman called.

Owen drew one while his opponent again drew two.

Owen led out dark, and was again called by Gurney-Goldman.

This time, Owen patted and Gurney-Goldman drew one again.

On the final betting round, Owen bet again, but after a brief moment of thought was raised.

Owen made the call, and Gurney-Goldman frowned.

Owen went ahead and showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} which was the winner, and he now approaches 300,000 in chips as the day is just underway.
