Today, we have spotted a poker fan favorite John Evans in the field! After his 2nd Place finish in this same event back in 2019, John was diagnosed with throat cancer. Since then he has been at home engaged in a battle against his illness.
He tells PokerNews that this is his first time back out on the felt since his near-bracelet win at that star-laced WSOP final table back in 2019. He is excited as ever to be back and sends his love to his incredible wife and amazing kids that are watching back home.
Great to see you again, John, and we here at PokerNews look forward to covering your tournaments for many years to come!
