The final 1,174 players who survived Days 1a and 1b of WSOP Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker will all be together today for Day 2, battling into the money at 10:00 am local time.

Day 1a chip leader Yiming Li (487,000) and Day 1b chip leader Stephen Song (431,000) will take the two largest stacks into play today, but they’ll be up against plenty of big names from the poker world who survived their opening days including Chance Kornuth (324,000), Faraz Jaka (311,000), Kitty Kuo (276,500), Craig Varnell (265,500), Calvin Anderson (246,500), Samantha Abernathy (229,500), Koray Aldemir (228,500), Tony Miles (201,000), Jonathan Jaffe (199,000), Kenny Hallaert (194,500), Maria Konnikova (182,000), Ryan Riess (97,000), Jamie Kerstetter (75,000), Tony Dunst (75,000), and Adrian Mateos (70,000).

Song is no stranger to navigating large field No-Limit hold’em events, having won a bracelet in 2019, after defeating almost 2,500 players in a $1,000 event.

Neither is Femi Fashakin, who defeated the largest ever live field of 28,371 entries in 2019’s $500 Big 50 for a bracelet and over $1.1M. We’ll be keeping an eye on him as he takes 103,000 chips into the day.

A few notables will be entering the day with under 20 big blinds and looking to quickly spin up their short stacks, including GG Poker Ambassador and Twitch streamer Kevin Martin (48,000), two-time bracelet winner and online overlord Chris Moorman (40,000), star of ‘Chainsaw Corner’ Allen Kessler (39,500), and bracelet winner and ’04 Main Event runner-up David Williams (39,000).

Play resumes at level 12 with blinds of 1,000/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante. Stick close to PokerNews for all your updates from this and every World Series of Poker event from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
