"Crazy Mike" Stares Down Somerville
Mike Thorpe has been a bundle of activity all day, constantly getting up from the table and talking with fellow players.
The "Crazy Mike" experience was on full display in a hand Thorpe just played against Jason Somerville. "I verbally raise," Thorpe announced as he put in a bet from early position.
Somerville called from the big blind as the flop came . "I verbally bet," Thorpe continued after Somerville checked.
Somerville called that bet and another on the turn. He checked for the third time and Thorpe bet on the river. "Eye contact time," Thorpe said as he leaned over the table and stared at Somerville.
"Eye contact only. Don't stop looking at my eyes," he told Somerville. Somerville eventually folded and Thorpe showed .

Wasaya Surviving, Now Thriving
Andony Wasaya, who entered the day second in chips with 314,000 was nearly eliminated earlier in the day, but has since clawed his way back to his start of day total.
In a pair of recent back-to-back-pots, Wasaya raised the button and got a call from Christopher Vitch in the small blind.
After the flop was checked through, Vitch check-folded to a bet on the turn.
On the next hand, Wasaya raised from the cutoff into Kevin Song's big blind, who defended. Song then check-folded a flop.

Eveslage Takes Three Straight Pots, Busts Kitagawa
Chad Eveslage more than doubled his stack by winning the last three hands.
In the first, he fired all three streets on a board of against Terrence Chan. Chan called on the flop and turn, but folded the river.
Eveslage raised again the next hand, and Kyle Kitagawa re-raised from the small blind leaving only a few chips behind. Kitagawa bet the flop and Eveslage called, then checked the turn.
Eveslage bet enough to put Kitagawa all in, and Kitagawa eventually called with for a gutshot straight draw. Eveslage had for the flopped set, and Kitagawa headed to the exit when he missed his draw on the river.
Then, Eveslage raised and called a three-bet from Christopher Chung to his immediate left. Eveslage check-called the flop, and both players checked the turn and the river.
Eveslage showed to take the pot with two pair, aces and tens.
