The seven-handed final table is set in the third Championship Event of the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events. Players from seven different countries remain in contention for the gold bracelet in Event #13: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. The tournament drew a total of 267 entries and the top 39 finishers earned a portion of the $1,268,250 prize pool.

Best-positioned to claim the top prize of $268,926 is Mexico's Hernando Guzman with a stack of 84 big blinds. Vincas Tamasauskas follows with 76 big blinds after a very late surge on the final two tables vaulted the Lithuanian from one of the shorter stacks to second in chips. Former EPT Main Event champion Ben Wilinofsky dominated most of the day with sheer aggression and advanced with 54 big blinds.

The remaining final table line-up includes Ben Lakatos, Fernando Habegger, Florian Fuchs, and David Wang. Habegger, who is better known under his online moniker of "JNandez87", is part of GGPoker's OmahaSquad and has specialized in the four-card variant as a high-stakes player, book author, content creator, and coach.

The Action of the Day

More than 50 players started their journey in the first level of the day but it didn't take long for the field to surpass 100 entries. All participants were allowed to re-enter up to two times and many of them took advantage of the option, which ultimately resulted in 158 unique players and 109 re-entries.

The GGPoker ambassadors Felipe Ramos and Daniel Negreanu were in the mix right from the start but their respective first bullets were not crowned by success. Both re-entered with mixed success, as Ramos became one of many notable early casualties. For Negreanu, the second attempt went much better and he knocked out several opponents to even take over the lead a few spots away from the money bubble.

By then, PLO aficionados such as George Wolff, James Park, Sebastian Trisch, Aku Joentausta, Kamel Mokhammad, Andras Nemeth, Ola Amundsgaard, Andreas Torbergsen, and James Chen were all already eliminated. Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Anson Tsang lost a crucial all-in showdown with defending champion Juha Helppi to exit just shy of the payouts. The bubble burst only a few minutes later as Event #11: $10,000 Super MILLION$ High Roller finalist Isaac Baron was eliminated as the last player without anything to show for.

PLO specialists Hun Wei Lee, Ludovic Geilich, Hokyiu Lee, Gavin Cochrane, and Jonas Kronwitter fell soon after the money bubble had burst. Negreanu was unable to carry over his momentum and had to settle for 19th place after missing a straight and flush draw against Florian Fuchs. He was soon joined on the virtual rail by Helppi, who had to settle for 17th place this time.

Ben Wilinofsky seemed unstoppable for a decent portion of the final stages and cemented his top spot after sending Joao Simao to the rail once the final two tables were set. The Canadian was caught bluffing in a bigger pot by eventual chip leader Hernando Guzman and quickfire eliminations set up the seven-handed final table in a matter of minutes.

The action will resume at 5.01 pm UTC on Wednesday, August 18, and the blinds will recommence at 20,000/40,000 with a running ante of 5,000. Stay tuned to find out which of the seven finalists will claim their maiden gold bracelet right here on PokerNews.

"Lee0r" Eliminated in 8th Place ($24,414)

Nível 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Lee0r eliminated by Tamasauskas
Lee0r eliminated by Tamasauskas

As the first player to act, Lithuania's Vincas "seimininkas" Tamasauskas made it 125,000 to go and "Lee0r" came along out of the big blind. The flop brought {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} and "Lee0r" bet for the size of the pot, worth 299,000 total. Tamasauskas raised the pot and his opponent called for their 293,603 behind.

"Lee0r": {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Vincas "seimininkas" Tamasauskas: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The classic Omaha setup with top set against a wrap saw "Lee0r" in need of help. Some of the precious outs vanished on the {3-Hearts} turn and the {k-Hearts} river spelled the end for "Lee0r", as Tamasauskas dealt the final blow with a flush. "Lee0r" takes home $24,414 for the efforts and the remaining seven players are now on break for the night.

Arthur Conan Eliminated in 9th Place ($21,047)

Nível 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Conan Eliminated by Tamasauskas
Conan Eliminated by Tamasauskas

After surviving the previous forced all-in, Arthur Conan was at risk for 14,640 from under the gun. Vincas "seimininkas" Tamasauskas raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and Ben Lakatos repotted to 439,640. Tamasauskas jammed for the 314,640 he had behind and Lakatos called to put two players at risk, potentially bursting the bubble for the seven-handed final table.

Arthur Conan: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Vincas "seimininkas" Tamasauskas: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Ben Lakatos: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop gave Tamasauskas two huge draws. He completed the straight on the {7-Clubs} turn and now needed to dodge clubs, as Lakatos held the nut flush draw. The river was a blank {5-Hearts} and Conan was eliminated in 9th place while Tamasauskas scored the second double-up in quick succession.

Ben Wilinofsky had just doubled Arthur Conan and then got involved in the next all-in showdown.

Vincas "seimininkas" Tamasauskas raised to 75,000 and Wilinofsky flat-called in the small blind, Marius Gierse flled up in the big blind. On the {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, Wilinofsky checked and Gierse jammed for 179,748. That got rid of Tamasauskas but WIlinofsky eventually called.

Marius Gierse: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Ben Wilinofsky: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
