It's 2020, so nothing is the way it used to be, but the GGPoker World Series of Poker (WSOP) is still on! In keeping with the year's theme of no live poker, the global WSOP bracelet series kicks off today on GGPoker with the first of 54 chances to win a coveted WSOP bracelet.

The opening day features three chances to win a bracelet including a charity event, Every 1 for Covid Relief, and a turbo event. First up though is the final day of Event #32: $100 The Opener.

More than 29K entries have been recorded in one of the Day 1 flights so far, smashing the $2,000,000 guarantee. The final Day 1, Flight H, is still underway with registration just ending, leaving a total of 29,306 entries during the Day 1 phase of The Opener. As it currently stands, there are already nearly 3,500 players with a seat in today's Final Day, and more than 3,000 of them will get paid.

"TheCatalan" from Andorra is currently sitting with the biggest stack going into Day 2, bagging more than 1.6 million chips during Day 1. Other notable players with a Day 2 stack include "Dan.Almeida", "icho", Felipe Ramos, "Egption", and "Ilya_Trifanov" among others.

Action for the Final Day of The Opener gets underway at 2:30pm Eastern time, and PokerNews will be walking the virtual floor all day to bring you the action. They'll play down to a winner before the end today, so before the day is through, the first GGPoker WSOP bracelet of 2020 will be awarded!

Event #32 Final Day is Underway (Again)

Nível 2 : 6,000/12,000, 1,200 ante
GGPoker WSOP Event #32 Restart
GGPoker WSOP Event #32 Restart

After technical problems caused the suspension of the first two events in the GGPoker World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online, action is now set to resume. Before the end of today, both of the events suspended on the opening day of the series will award their bracelets.

Almost 3,700 will sit down today to resume play. They managed to get about a level and half completed in Event #32: $100 The Opener last week before the technical issues forced play to halt. At that time, there were 3,684 players still playing a stack, with 3,039 paid spots available.

They'll play through those remaining ~700 players quickly, and they'll be in the money before long. No player has quite managed to amass two million chips yet, but the chip leader, Argentina's "Tata1407", has come the closest, unbagging 1,968,983 chips to start play today. Maksym "Romeopro1" Klopotok has the second biggest stack going into the day's action, with 1,883,890.

Action on the resumed Day 2 kicks off at 3:30 p.m. today, and play is scheduled to continue until a winner is decided. PokerNews will be bringing you the action and excitement through the day as the Opener finally plays down to a close.

Klopotok check-raised the 103,950 bet to 316,507 but "Horologist" shoved over top for 851,006. Klopotok called.

Klopotok: {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
"Horologist": {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Board: {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

"Horologist" was behind with their ace on the flop, but the turn changed all that, giving then a stack of more than two million while Klopotok was crushed to less than one million.

"Yana1979" Adds to Stack

Nível 8 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

"Yana1979" opened under the gun to 92,000, and "lilcrocop" called from the cutoff. Both players checked the {j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop, but "Yana1979" bet 82,800 on the {6-Spades} turn and "lilcrocop" called.

"Yana1979" bet again on the {3-Diamonds} river, this time for 132,480 and got the call.

"lilcrocop": {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
"Yana1979": {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Board: {j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

"NewLegend77" Doubles with Aces

Nível 14 : 75,000/150,000, 15,000 ante

"NewLegend77" raised to 330,000 from the middle, and "BillionME" reraised the button to 933,750. "NewLegend77" called to see {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} on the flop.
