Ribeiro Leaves Cornell Crippled

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Renato Ribeiro got his remaining stack of what looked to be 438,000 in over a middle-position open from Tyler Cornell. The player in Seat 9 agonized before folding and Cornell quickly called with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} when it folded back to him. Ribeiro had the goods with {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} though, and it ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

It sounded like the player behind folded pocket tens, but the players agreed after the hand it was likely a good fold.

Mills Nearing Five Million

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Sean Mills
Sean Mills

There was around 180,000 in the pot on a flop of {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Sean Mills had put in a check-raise to 325,000 from the small blind over a bet of 80,000 from Sashia Liu on the cutoff. In between the two was Pim Gieles, who had also checked to Liu and had just called Mills' check-raise.

With action back on Liu, she folded and the dealer brought the turn {5-Diamonds}. Mills kept his foot on the pedal, betting 645,000. Gieles thought for a few moments and made the call.

The river fell {q-Spades} and Miles went all in for the effective 1.425 million that Gieles had left. It did not take long for him to fold as Mills scooped in the pot, bringing his chip total just below the five million-mark.

Ved Makes Big Call for Pot of Two Million

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Kartik Ved
Kartik Ved

With a large pot of about 800,000 in the middle, the board read {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}. From the hijack, Joshua Gordon led out with a river bet of 570,000. This bet sent Kartik Ved, who was on the button, deep into the tank. He contemplated and studied the wet board and assessed Gordon.

After about three minutes Ved tossed in the call. Gordon had no spade and showed the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which was a welcome sight to Ved who tabled his winning hand of {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} to take the pot of nearly 2 million.

Hall Congratulated on a "Nice Bluff"

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Galen Hall was all in from the big blind for 557,000 on a completed board of {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. That was barely a raise since Daisuke Ogita had put in 450,000 from early position, but Ogita still needed enough time to think that someone eventually called a clock. Told it had been only a minute or so, the supervisor said he'd give Ogita some more time, but the Japanese player mucked shortly after that.

"Nice bluff, Galen," someone said.

"Yeah, good bluff," another echoed.

"Thanks, guys," Hall said with a smile.

Anthony Spinella

Richard Seymour opened to 55,000 from the hijack and action folded to Anthony Spinella in the big blind. Spinella announced he was all in and pushed forward his stack as Seymour quickly asked for a count.

Around two full minutes went by with Seymour in the tank before he looked back at his cards twice and tossed them to the muck.

"It was right there," Seymour said as Spinella stacked his chips, discussing how close of a decision it was. "Four-hundred (and) I call."

Mike Matusow

The action folded to Mike Matusow on the button who made it 50,000 to go. Guofeng Wang announced all in from the big blind and Matusow instantly called by piling his 400,000 chips into the middle.

Mike Matusow: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Guofeng Wang: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Matusow's pocket kings held on to double up to where he started the day.

"This is the start of my ten million run. I promise you, this will be ten million by the end of today," Matusow told the cameras. "In just two orbits, I've had as many playable hands as I did all of yesterday."
