Hands #45-49: Cada Doubles to the Chip Lead as Busquet Plummets
The five players' stacks are now so close that every hand seems to see the momentum shift, and there is a feeling inside the Rio that this could be a pivotal period of poker.
Hand #45: Joao Vieira raised to 350,000 from the hijack and the others folded.
Hand #46: Jamie O'Connor raised to 320,000 from the button Vieira called from the big blind. The flop was dealt and Vieira checked. O´Connor continued with a bet of 250,000. Vieira got out of the way.
Hand #47: Pierre Calamusa raised from the button as he pushed 375,000 forward. Small blind Vieira three-bet all in for effectively 3,840,000 and both big blind Joe Cada and Calamusa folded their hand.
Hand #48: O'Connor raised to 320,000 and Olivier Busquet called from the big blind. The flop fell and Busquet check-called a bet of 250,000 from O'Connor.
The was dealt on the turn and both players checked. The was dealt on the river. Busquet led out with a bet of 375,000 and O'Connor took his time to end up folding.
Hand #49: Joe Cada raised to 350,000 and Busquet three-bet all in from the small blind. O'Connor folded, but Cada quickly called.
