Toby Bentall
Toby Bentall

Toby Bentall is building nicely and just scooped another small pot. He opened over one limp, making it 2,500 to go further and was called. He continued for another 2,500 on the {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop and took it down, taking him up to double starting stack.

The registrations continue to stream in and there are now over 3,000 players entered. The biggest flight up until this point was Day 1c yesterday with 2,830, which now makes Day 1d the most popular flight of the tournament. With 3 more hours of late registration open and unlimited re-entries available, it will be interesting to see how many more entries will take a seat.

MacPhee Building a Stack

Nível 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Two-time bracelet winner Kevin MacPhee is in the tournament and he is off to a good start. Just now, he defended his small blind to a 1,200 cutoff bet and the big blind came along too but he decided to check-fold the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop. Despite that, the American has already added 15,000 to his starting stack.

Liu Makes the Call

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There were two players in and action was on the turn with {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} on show and 7,300 in the pot. Eric Liu was playing the cutoff and he was heads up against the button. Liu bet 5,000, which his opponent called and the dealer laid an {8-Diamonds} on the river.

Liu checked and his opponent thought for a 20 seconds or so before placing 14,200 over the line. Liu made the call and turned over {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a set, which beat the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} of his opponent.

Engel Takes a Little Back

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Ari Engel has dropped a little since he sat down but the recent bracelet winner has just lost a little. The 2019 WSOP bracelet winner opened to 1,000 and the big blind defended. On the {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, the big blind check-folded to Engel's 700 continuation bet.
