Day 2 of Event #42: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack Restarts Today at 12 p.m

The first ever Event #42: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack Day 2 is set to kick off at 12 p.m today. Day 1 had a total of 2403 entries with less than 10 percent of the field advancing to Day 2, with only 195 players remaining. Adam Lamphere is leading the pack after bagging 1,870,000 in chips on Day 1.

A few other big stacks in the battle are Caleb Hershey (1,242,000), Dustin Goldklang (1,114,000), Sean Lengendre (886,000), and Fu-Bang Huang (865,000). Caleb Hershey was leading most of the day and battling hard, putting the pressure on near the bubble and showing a massive bluff with nine-high in Omaha.

The 2403 entries created a prizepool of a whopping $1,261,759, with All of the remaining 195 players are guaranteed at least $875 but the ultimate goal is the $194,759 and of course the prestige World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Levels will be 40-minutes today instead of 30, with a 15-minute break after every 3 levels, and a 60-minute dinner break after the 9th level (approximately 6:30 p.m). The planned schedule is to play down to a winner, but there is a chance of the tournament needing an extra day to complete.

Monster Pot for Moravec; Tablemate Offers to Sell Video He Just Took of It

A triple bust-out has benefited Daniel Moravec to the tune of a brand new multi-million chip stack after a hand so big a quarter of the table filmed it on their phones. A short stack's chips already in the middle, the hand was still four-way preflop. Barny Boatman's stack of 192,000 more went in too - called by both Moravec and Qui Luo. "This is the hand of the tournament," more than one player said.

"Nobody's more than forty percent," said Moravec with a smile, "We're just flipping cards."

Scratch Both Chip Leader Posts: Tim Finne Tops 5 Million

The number of big, multiway all-in pots in the PLO rounds is making determining a chip leader for more than 15 minutes at a time difficult. Never struggling chip-wise today, and now sitting behind a wall of ammunition is Tim Finne. His last pot grew chunky on a flop. Three-way, it checked to the button who bet 225,000. The earliest position player check-raised to one million (a pot-committing bet), and it was round to Finne in the middle. When he announced, "Pot," it really meant all-in for his brace of opponents; the button folded and it was heads up, cards on their backs:

All in opponent: for a lower flopped straight with a club flush draw.

The turn and river fell and Finne is shortly going to be coloured up, lest his table overbalance.
