A new event will start at the 2019 World Series of Poker and this time it's the great game. Event #40: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha will be played out over three days in search of the successor of Ryan Bambrick. Bambrick beat a field of 799 players and ultimately finished on top after beating the Finnish Sampo Ryynanen for the WSOP gold bracelet and the first-place prize of $217,123.
Levels will be 40 minutes long on Day 1 and they will be 60 minutes long from Day 2 onwards. Everyone will start the tournament with 25,000 in chips and blinds will be 100/100 to start the tournament. They will play 15 40-minute levels on Day 1 with a 20-minute break every three levels. There will be a 75-minute dinner break after the ninth level which will be at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Late registration is open until the start of Level 10. which is at approximately 7:55 p.m. local time. Limits will be going up fast in today's four-card game in the search of a new champion. The day will end with blinds at 2,000/4,000. The game is played without an ante.

Barny Boatman, who won the €550 Pot-Limit Omaha at the 2015 World Series of Poker Europe and finished second in the $2,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em in 2002, just took a seat in this event to try to catch his third WSOP gold bracelet.

Craig Varnell is back at the poker tables after getting injured playing basketball 1.5 weeks ago. Varnell is now back in the Rio playing poker and he brought out the run good since he immediately doubled up.
Varnell raised from the button to 600 and the player in the big blind called. The flop was dealt and the player in the big blind checked to Varnell and he continued with a bet of 1,000. His opponent raised to 3,000 and Varnell called.
The turn was the and Varnell was facing a bet of 4,000 when he announced pot and Varnell had 20,900 in front of him. All the chips went in the turn and Varnell needed to hit.

Bruno Politano limped under the gun and was followed by a player in middle position, the button and the players in the blinds. The five players checked on the flop and a appeared on the turn. After two checks, Politano bet 700 and it was enough to make his opponents fold.
