The flop read {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}, and there was around 6,000 in the pot. Action checked to Bradley Butcher who pushed in a bet, a cutoff opponent called and the player in big blind elected to put in two bets.

McNeil Continues to Spin Up a Stack on Day 2

Nível 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Calen McNeil
Calen McNeil

Tom Love opened from late position and Calen McNeil called on the button. Eli Elezra defended his big blind, the dealer spread out {3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on the flop and all three players checked to the {j-Diamonds} turn.

Elezra threw in a bet that was called by both Love and McNeil. A {q-Clubs} landed on the felt as a river card, action checked to McNeil, he bet and both of his opponents chucked.

McNeil grinded a shorter stack for most of the day and really started to pick up traction after the last break, pulling in multiple pots. The Victoria, BC native took down this very event in 2013 for his only WSOP bracelet and looks more than determined to do so again.

Sander Eliminated on the Bubble by Leonard and Zaleski

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Amit Sander was forced all-in from the big blind and he didn't look at his cards. It was John Zaleski who raised to 6,000 from early position and Patrick Leonard called from the cutoff.

The flop was dealt {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Zaleski fired a bet of 3,000 on the flop and Leonard called. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Zaleski bet again. Leonard called to see the {5-Spades} river and he called again when Zaleski bet 6,000.

Leonard won the high part of the pot with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Zaleski took down the low with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Sander then proceeded to turn over his cards one by one and that resulted in {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Sander wasn't able to win either the low or the high part of the pot and he was eliminated as the final player who didn't cash in the tournament.

All the other players are guaranteed to take home at least $2,257.

Madsen Scoops a Monster Against Leonard

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

There was a board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} face up and two players in the pot who each had 13 bets in front of them. One was Patrick Leonard who was the last to bet and the other was Jeff Madsen who was still thinking about his action.

Madsen decided, in the end, to call and tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a flush with the nut low. Leonard looked unpleasantly surprised as he mucked his hand, tabling two aces as the dealer pushed the massive pot to Madsen.
