Event #32: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship has reached its penultimate day, with Howard Mash leading the last 252 out of a 5,619-runner field. All are comfortably in the money (888 are paid), the bubble having burst yesterday.
While Mash may be the only player to have surpassed two million chips, other deep stacks pepper the field, such as those of Anthony Martin (1,759,000), WPT champion Victor Ramdin (1,688,000), Ron Fetsch and Thomas Loya (1,493,000 apiece). Also guaranteed at least $3,279 for making it to Day 3 are prior bracelet winners Michael Moore, Ivo ‘Chessmaster’ Donev, Barry Greenstein, Layne Flack, Peter Eichhardt, Yue Du, Philip Tom and James Van Alstyne.
Such has been the popularity of this event in recent years that four full days of scheduled play are a necessity to decide a winner; this event is no less demanding for being restricted to over-50s. Today we aim to decide a final table, the next step on the road to awarding the 2019 Seniors bracelet and $662,594 first prize.
Action begins at 11am in Amazon Orange, along with live reporting here on Pokernews.
