Seidel Closes in on the Lead

Nível 13 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Fedor Holz opened to 350,000 from early position and was called by Christoph Vogelsang on his left. Erik Seidel three-bet to 1,650,000 on the button and Holz released his hand while Vogelsang called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Vogelsang checked to Seidel who continued for 1,000,000. Vogelsang still called and the {3-Spades} landed on the turn. Vogelsang checked again and Seidel threw in another bet of 2,000,000. Vogelsang spent some time thinking but eventually sent his cards to the muck, sending the pot to Seidel.

Sontheimer Sends a Tilted Negreanu to the Rail

Nível 13 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu all in.
Daniel Negreanu all in.

The action folded around to Daniel Negreanu in the small blind who shoved all in for 3,080,000. Steffen Sontheimer asked for a count in the big blind and then made the call.

Daniel Negreanu: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Steffen Sontheimer: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Negreanu was still trailing the ace-high of Sontheimer. The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} as Negreanu picked up an open-ended straight draw. However, the {q-Clubs} on the river bricked off as Negreanu was sent to the rail before the final two tables were brought together.

Negreanu was still unhappy about missing a hand after the break when he was misinformed about how long the break actually was.

Rast Loses Flip to Petrangelo

Nível 13 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Rick Salomon raised to 350,000 first to act and Brian Rast moved all in for 2.66 million. Nick Petrangelo on the button reshoved for 7.59 million to isolate successfully.

Brian Rast: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Nick Petrangelo: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop was a disaster for Rast, as he needed running aces or kings, and it was all over on the {6-Spades} turn. This made the {8-Diamonds} river a formality and the field was whittled down to the last 16 hopefuls.

Rast Shoves Into Ivey

Nível 13 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo limped the small blind and Justin Bonomo checked his option in the big blind. The flop came {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Petrangelo bet 160,000, Bonomo called. The {A-Hearts} turn and {3-Hearts} river were both blanks and Petrangelo won the pot with the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for a pair of kings.

Petrangelo opened to 375,000 from the cutoff and a three-bet by Bonomo shut down all further action.

Phil Ivey raised to 320,000 on the button and Brian Rast called in the big blind. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Rast checked, which triggered a continuation bet worth 250,000 by Ivey. Rast check-raised all in for 1.61 million and Ivey folded.

Nitsche Drags a Small Pot

Nível 13 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 380,000 on the button and Dominik Nitsche defended from the big blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Spades} on the turn. Nitsche checked again and Vogelsang chose to see another free card.

The {a-Diamonds} landed on the river and Nitsche opted to check one more time. Vogelsang agreed on a cheap showdown and Nitsche flipped over {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. Vogelsang sent his cards to the muck and Nitsche dragged in another small pot.

Badziakouski Runs Into Salomon's Kings

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Justin Bonomo raised to 400,000 in the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski moved all in for 960,000 in the small blind. Rick Salomon four-bet to 2,360,000 and Bonomo folded.

Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Rick Salomon: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop didn't change anything, but Badziakouski picked up some outs on the {3-Spades} turn. The {Q-Clubs} river brought no help for Badziakouski and he was eliminated in 18th place.
