Whitaker Busts One Away from the Bubble

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

PLO

With about 22,000 in the middle and a board reading {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades}, David Valdez put out a bet and Stephen Whitaker called all in for his last 5,600.

David Valdez: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Stephen Whitaker: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The board completed with the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Valdez's two pair was best to bust Whitaker one spot away from the money bubble.

Ogura Doubles Through Inasaki

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

PLO

On the flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Takashi Ogura checked from the big blind and Yohei Inasaki fired 5,000 in the hijack. Ogura fought back, check-raising pot to make it 21,500. Inasaki shoved all in for 33,700 effective and Ogura called.

Ogura: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Inasaki: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Ogura had a superior flush draw and spiked two pair on the {K-Hearts} turn. Inasaki could only hope for a seven to break the bubble but the {Q-Diamonds} river locked the double for his opponent.

Matthew Kelly Bubbles in Bizarre Fashion

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Hold'em

In a bizarre fashion, Matthew Kelly busted the Mixed NLH/PLO event. Kelly was big blind, moving all in for his last 12,300 over an early raise to 2,500 from Jordan Polk. In the thrill of the moment, Kelly accidentally flipped over his hand, showing {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Polk still tanked for a while and eventually liked his odds with {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}. He called and the {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board delivered a bad beat, leaving Kelly empty-handed.

Ryan Bambrick
Ryan Bambrick

PLO

We didn't catch the betting action but Iori Yogo has been eliminated by Ryan Bambrick with both of them having aces in the hole.

It was unclear when the chips went in but Yogo was at risk with the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} against Bambrick's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Bambrick made broadway to eliminate Yogo.

Lakhdari Flushed by Vacher

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Hold'em

Sakura Sugawara raised to 2,800 on the button and Victor Vacher flatted in the small blind. Short-stacked Omar Lakhdari then squeezed to 6,000, leaving himself with 2,600. Both Sugawara and Vacher called and they all checked the {8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop.

Vacher led out on the {9-Diamonds} and Lakhdari called for his remaining chips while Sugawara folded her hand. Lakhdari found himself drawing dead as Vacher turned up the nuts with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Lakhdari was ready to go and the dealer showed his had which was the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The {8-Spades} river didn't matter.
