Chen Trips Up Reinbold

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Guo Liang Chen
Guo Liang Chen

The action folded around to Guo Liang Chen on the button and he moved all in for 75,000. The small blind folded and Zachary Reinbold called for his last 65,000 from the big blind.

Chen: {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Reinbold: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Reinbold was in great shape to double up but there was a ten in the window for Chen on the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. The turn {10-Spades} improved Chen to trip tens leaving Reinbold drawing dead and the {k-Spades} completed the board.

Chen scooped the pot to chip up to 160,000 and Reinbold was eliminated.

Ted Lawson
Ted Lawson

Ted Lawson was in the big blind and got his stack in against the player in the small blind on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Ted Lawson: {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Small blind: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Lawson had flopped a flush draw but was trailing his opponent's trip tens. The turn and river were no help to Lawson, so his opponent took the pot to send him to the cage.

Vornicu Takes One

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Valentin Vornicu
Valentin Vornicu

A player in middle position raised to 16,000, Valentin Vornicu called from the hijack, and the big blind called as well.

The flop came {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and all three players checked.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. The preflop raiser checked, Vornicu bet 25,000, the big blind quickly folded, and after brief consideration, the preflop raiser did the same. The dealer pushed the pot Vornicu's way, putting his stack near the 800,000-chip mark.

Quad Nines for Domyo Aqmelli

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Thomas Kassela moved all in for 100,000 from under the gun and Domyo Aqmelli was next to act. Aqmelli called and the rest of the table quickly folded.

Kassela turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and would need to improve against the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Aqmelli. The dealer spread the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop and Aqmelli improve to a full house.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds}, giving Aqmelli quad nines and leaving Kassela drawing dead. The meaningless {2-Hearts} hit the river and Aqmelli earned the pot and the elimination.

Big Slick is Good for Calenzo

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Clayton Maguire moved all in for 108,000 from middle position and it folded to Kevin Calenzo in the small blind who put his last 25,000 in the pot. Maguire turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} but was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} of Calenzo.

Both players paired their king on the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and Calenzo maintained the lead. Maguire picked up a gutshot straight draw when the {9-Diamonds} hit the turn, but did not improve when the {4-Hearts} completed the board and Calenzo survived.

Cho Doubles Through Perry

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A short stacked James Cho moved all in from early position for 15,000 and Mark Perry reraised to 43,000 from middle position. The rest of the table quickly folded and the hands were shown.

James Cho: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Mark Perry: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The dealer fanned the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop giving Cho trip queens and a hammer lock on the hand. The turn {8-Diamonds} and river {8-Hearts} improved Cho to queens full of eights and he earned the pot and the double-up.

Bach Breaks Both

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
David Bach
David Bach

The player under the gun raised to 17,000, the next player to act folded, and three-time bracelet winner David Bach three-bet to 25,000. The hijack moved all in for what looked like 128,000, the original raiser called to put himself at risk, and Bach called with a covering stack.

David Bach: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Under the gun: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Hijack: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The hijack had the preflop advantage with his jacks, leaving both Bach and the under-the-gun player in need of help from the deck to win the pot. He extended his lead when he made a set on the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop, but the {Q-Clubs} turn gave Bach Broadway, leaving both his opponents in bad shape. The {7-Spades} river changed nothing, so Bach took the pot to stack them both.
