Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of Event #64: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.

There were 133 players who took part in the action on Day 1 and only 63 of them will be back in the mix today. Registration, however, is still open until the cards are in the air at 2 p.m.

On top of the chip counts to begin the day is defending champion Chris Vitch, leading the way with a stack of 279,500. With three four top 13 finishes this summer, Vitch has been close to capturing an elusive third WSOP gold bracelet. He knows what it takes to win this event and beginning Day 2 he is in prime position to do so again.

Rounding out the top five stacks are Daham Wang (276,500), Stuart Rutter (236,000), Terrence Hastoo (220,000) and Ryan Miller (207,500). Among the many notable players still in the mix include Tom Koral (189,000), David Prociak (177,500), Tim Finne (168,500), Scott Bohlman (156,000), Yuval Bronshtein (118,500), Jerry Wong (113,000), Randy Ohel (105,500), Felipe Ramos (91,000), Adam Friedman (79,000) and Daniel Negreanu (76,500).
