Simao Lays One Down

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Joao Siamo
Joao Siamo

Joao Simao had a good start to the day but recently had to make a big laydown. With around 2,100 in the middle already, the dealer fanned the flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Simao checked to his opponent on the button who tossed in a bet of 1,100. Simao check-raised to 2,700 and his opponent called.

The {7-Hearts} landed on the turn and Simao led out for 4,200. His opponent still called and the {10-Hearts} paired the board on the river. Simao checked this time and his opponent ripped all in for 16,500. Simao asked for a count but then slid his cards to the muck.

Frankenberger Engages in Some Table Talk

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Andy Frankenberger

Andy Frankenberger is one of many to just recently take his seat in this growing field, and the table talk has already started. After folding to a river bet from his opponent, Frankenberger had a few questions.

"Where are you from?" he asked.

"Austria," his opponent replied.

"Hmm. If I knew that I wouldn't have folded. You flew all the way here to three barrel," Frankenberger said with a smile.

"I could see what you had," his opponent joked back.

"What were you hoping I did? Call or fold?" Frankenberger asked but could not get a response.

Jaka Eliminated by Detale

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

One of last year's finalists, Faraz Jaka has hit the rail and it was at the hand of Michael Dentale and he was happy to relay what had happened in the previous hand.

The pot was three-bet preflop and four players were still in. On the flop they became three and on the turn, Jaka took the betting lead when both his opponents checked to him. Only Dentale called the bet and he hit the nuts on the river. He checked to Jaka, who set him all-in and it was an easy call for Dentale who chipped up very nicely just as players are about to hit their first break.

Jaka was all-in for 450 chips the very next hand but couldn't spin it up and hits the rail.

Madsen Finds a Lucky Chop

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Jeff Madsen opened from the button and the big blind defended. The flop fell {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the big blind checked to Madsen who continued for 425. The big blind check-raised to 1,500 and Madsen put in a three-bet to 2,700. The big blind just called this time.

The turn was the {9-Spades} which slowed down the action as both players checked. The river brought the {10-Clubs} and the big blind checked again. Madsen tapped the table as well and the big blind tabled {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

"I don't like that turn card very much," he said. Indeed it was a bad turn card as Madsen flipped over {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to escape with a chop after his opponent flopped two pair.

Nguyen on the Right Side of a Cooler

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante
Qui Nguyen
Qui Nguyen

Action was on the flop, with two players in and {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} was out on the board. This is where some serious action took place...

Nguyen checked and his opponent bet 500, Nguyen raised to 1,200 and was three-bet to 3,500. Nguyen went over again, four-betting to 7,700, only to face a five-bet to 18,500. He flat called and they went to the turn.

It was a {3-Hearts} and Nguyen checked and the other player went all in for around 6,000. Nguyen had him covered and made the call.

Qui Nguyen: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Nguyen just needed to dodge two outs to secure the double and he managed to do that with a {j-Spades} falling on the river.
