Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em
Dia 1 Começado
Welcome to Day 1 of Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em which gets underway at 11 a.m. at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.
This unique event will see players come together for the first time this series and join forces in a bid to make a run for a gold bracelet.
After the "tag team" concept was first introduced in 2016 when Doug Polk and Ryan Fee took the spoils, last year saw 843 entrants create a $758,700 prize pool with Team Aditya Sushant - Nipun Java winning their first-ever WSOP gold bracelets and $150,637 after they defeated Team Pablo Mariz - David Guay heads-up.
This year each team will start with 10,000 chips at blinds 25/50, with ten 60-minute levels being played. Due to the fact this is a team event, there will be no scheduled breaks, except for color-ups.
The rules for Event #55 state that all teams must register together and each teammate must check in at their table before
the end of registration period. Teammates must play at least one round of blinds at some point in tournament or team will be disqualified.
Players may tag a teammate anytime he/she is not in an active hand and payouts will be calculated based on the number of teams and be will be distributed evenly among teammate(s).
Interestingly, this event comes with (potentially) the lowest individual buy-in per person of $250 based on a team of four players.
Stay with PokerNews as we will be reporting on all the action over the next three days to find out which team comes together to become WSOP gold bracelet winners!
Nível: 1
Blinds: 25/50
Ante: 0
After a short delay as the tournament director explained the rules and structure for today, the dealers have been instructed to shuffle up and deal if they have four or more players at their table.
The My Stack App for updated chip counts has been disabled for this tournament as the app was built for individual players rather than team names. Players are welcome to use My Stack in all other events during the World Series of Poker.

There has been an early elimination over on Table #66 after a set-over-set situation occurred.
Team Fel had pocket aces in front of them with all the chips in the middle being moved in their direction, as another player at the table picked up his belongings and exited the tournament area after the dealer took his pocket eights and put them in the muck.
The board read , which meant both players had hit a set and got it all in to cause a brutal early elimination.

Last year poker author Dr. Tricia Cardner teamed up with Jordan Young for this very event and started Day 1 with Team Walter on her table.
This year, Cardner has joined forces with her Poker On The Mind podcast co-host Gareth James to do battle, and coincidently she is joined by Team Walter on her starting table once again.
