Jason Stockfish raised to 2,500 from early position, Daniel Negreanu three-bet the pot from the cutoff for 8,700, and Stockfish called.

The flop came and the two players got stacks in the middle in a flurry of activity.

When we got to the table the complete board of was already out and the cards were on their backs. Dave Greene told us that action had limped around preflop, his opponent had bet 3,000 on the flop from the big blind, and Greene called from the cutoff. The rest of the chips quickly went in on the turn.

Greene had the lead with the nut straight but his opponent had room to improve with a spade, queen, or jack on the river. The was the final card, which changed nothing, so Greene took the pot to double up.

Davies Gets Three-Quarters

Kate Hoang was seen in a big pot with all 10,500 going in on the flop and the rest on the turn.

The board read and Hoang showed for a pair of ten and an open-ended straight draw plus a low draw.

Her rival, however, had and was ahead with aces along with a flush draw. On top of that, he had a nut low draw.

The river card was the and Hoang finished with a straight, but she ended up second to the nut flush. Hoang had to concede 22,900 in favor of her opponent and continued with only five big blinds.

Elezra Pushing for the Overnight Lead

Eli Elezra has been guarding a huge stack for a while and he keeps adding to his piles in the last level. Elezra just seized another chunk in the following hand.

He was in the small blind, facing a raise to 3,500 from a short-stacked player in late position. Igor Sharaskin called on the button and Elezra came along.

The flop saw Elezra check to the opener who moved all in for his last 500. Sharaskin and Elezra both called and they checked the turn and the river.

Elezra announced ace-jack, turning up and neither of his opponents could beat that. Elezra moved up to 133,000 with the average stack showing just over 31,000 at the moment.

With around 40-minutes left to play on Day 1, Elezra is a hot contender for the overnight chip lead.
