Albrinck and Karimalis Battle Again

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Brad Albrinck and Angelo Karimalis have been sat next to each other since the start of the day, with Karimalis getting the better of his opponent earlier when they both hit a full house. But this time around it was Albrinck who took the spoils.

It was a battle of small blind versus big blind on the {3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop, and Albrinck check-called a bet before both players checked on the {2-Spades} turn. On the {4-Hearts} river, Albrinck bet and Karimalis called, to see the former turn over pocket deuces for a set, and it was enough for two-time WSOP ring winner Albrinck to take the pot.

Woodward Takes From Tom

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The board read {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} on a raised pot when Philip Tom made a bet from the small blind and Matthew Woodward called.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the same action happened. On the river {2-Spades}, both players checked and Tom tabled {7-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a pair of sevens, and his hand was mucked when Woodward revealed {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a better pair.

Two Pair Take It For Gromenkova

Nível 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Svetlana Gromenkova was heads-up against Matt Grapenthien in a battle of the bracelet winners on a {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop. Grapenthien had position on Gromenkova and bet after the action checked to him. Gromenkova decided to raise and was called.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds}, and Grapenthien called a bet before both players checked on the {4-Clubs} river.

2008 Ladies Championship winner Gromenkova showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for two pair, and 2014 Event #61: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Champion Grapenthien reluctantly conceded the pot.

Scheibner Downs Clinkscales

Nível 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Rex Clinkscales
Rex Clinkscales

Gary Garibyan raised from early position, and Lloyd Scheibner called in middle position. Rex Clinkscales, in the next seat along, three-bet and left himself with just 2,600 behind. The player on the button cold-called, as Garibyan and Scheibner, also came along to see the {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop.

Garibyan checked, Scheibner bet, and Clinkscales called, which left him with just a single 100 chip to play with. The player on the button folded and Garibyan made the call to send the hand three-way to the {2-Diamonds} turn.

Garibyan checked again, Scheibner continued with a bet, and Clinkscales put his final chip into the pot. Garibyan got out the way, and they went to showdown.

Lloyd Scheibner: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Rex Clinkscales: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

River: {7-Hearts}

Scheibner was ahead with top two pair and the river changed nothing as WSOP ring winner Clinkscales, who came into the day second in chips and had built his stack up well in the early proceedings, was eliminated at the start of level 15 for a payout worth $2,336.

Richard Fuller: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave Fuller a pair but the {6-Spades} on the river gave the nut flush to Szymaszek who doubled his stack.
