Dodd Takes Slobodsky Down

Nível 25 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Corey Dodd
Corey Dodd

Naor Slobodsky raised on the button and Corey Dodd called.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Dodd bet and Slobodsky called.

The turn brought them the {8-Hearts}, now Dodd check-shoved after Slobodsky bet 25,000. Slobodsky called.

Naor Slobodsky: {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Corey Dodd: {K-Spades}{3-Spades}

Slobodsky flopped a pair of tens but Dodd had the better hand with the pair of kings.

The {7-Hearts} on the river didn't change the situation and Dodd was the one to go through to tomorrow's final table.

Matheson Still in the Lead

Nível 26 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The board read {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and there was about 115,000 in the middle already. Royce Matheson was up first and decided to bet 86,000 which sent Wolansky into the tank.

"Will you show me if I fold?" Wolansky asked Matheson.

"I don't think I can show you this one bud!" Matheson replied.

Wolansky scratched his head, looked at his cards once more. "Oh I don't know.." he mumbled to himself. He flipped one of his chips and then folded.

James Worth Takes the Chip Lead

Nível 26 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

James Worth just got all of his chips all-in and once again, it was his tournament life on the line in a hand against Phil Hellmuth.

Hellmuth had opened to 21,000 from the button and Worth moved all in for 129,000 from the big blind. It was a snap-call for Hellmuth and they flipped their cards on their backs.

James Worth {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Phil Hellmuth {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Hellmuth was the one who needed to hit as they headed into the flop. It came {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}, giving Worth a flush draw and Hellmuth now needed a king to hit Broadway. The {2-Clubs} turn locked it up for Worth with the nut flush and the {9-Clubs} river made no difference.

Worth has nabbed the chip lead but at the same time, this is the most even-stacked the players have been since playing three-handed.

Phil Hellmuth Out in Third

Nível 26 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

In the fourth all-in versus James Worth, Phil Hellmuth has come unstuck once more and this time it sent him to the rail.

After opening the button to 22,000, Worth moved all-in and Hellmuth called off the rest of his stack.

James Worth {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Phil Hellmuth {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

It was off to the races as the pair went heads up to the flop and it came down {9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Hellmuth was still looking for a queen or an ace to stay in the game but he couldn't find either on the {k-Hearts} turn or {j-Hearts} river and he left in third place.
