A total of 100 players began Day 2 of Event #26: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and after the dust had settled just 14 of those runners were able to secure a Day 3 birth. The tournament will be starting at 12 p.m. local time at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and will not end until a winner has been given $169,842 cash prize to go along with the coveted WSOP bracelet.

One player that really stands out above the rest is well known Brazilian grinder, Felipe Ramos. Ramos has over $2.4 million in live cashes and is a regular on the poker scene. He will be playing to win his first WSOP bracelet and add to his already impressive résumé. He started the day with above average in chips and after a roller coaster first four levels of play, he began to accumulate a stack and never looked back as he ended the day with a top four chip stack of 450,000.

The leader going into the final day is Filippos Stavrakis who found himself a stack of 903,000. Other notable stacks that are still left in the field include Pascal Damois (632,000), Ruslan Dykshteyn (767,000), Jordan Siegel (432,000), Arthur Morris (329,000), Thayer Rasmussen (300,000), Clinton Monfort (292,000), and well-known professional Robert Cowen (95,000).

Play will resume on Level 21 (6,000/12,000 blinds) and levels will be 60 minutes in length. The players will be getting a 15-minute break after every two levels of play, with a 60-minute dinner break coming after the sixth level. The tournament will not be ending until one of the remaining 14 players has been crowned the victor.

It folded around to Robert Cowen in the small blind. He bet pot, which was 36,000, and the action was on Filippos Stavrakis in the big blind. Stavrakis asked how much Cowen had behind and he had a total of 83,000 that included the 36,000 already in the middle. Stavrakis raised to put Cowen all-in and Cowen called.

Robert Cowen: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Filippos Stavrakis: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} giving Stavrakis a straight, but Cowen had the better straight to double up at the start of Day 3.

Ruslan Dykshteyn Eliminated in 13th Place ($7,446)

Filippos Stavrakis opened to 30,000 from the button and Pascal Damois called from the small blind. Ruslan Dykchteyn then three-bet to 120,000. Stavrakis four-bet to 390,000 and action folded back to Dykshteyn who made the call.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Dykshteyn moved all in for around 180,000. Stavrakis quickly called and players then tabled their hands. Dykshteyn showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a straight draw and Stavrakis tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for aces with a flush draw.

The turn came the {8-Clubs} to give Stavrakis the flush and Dykshteyn was now drawing dead, making the {6-Diamonds} river just a bit of trivia to add. Stavrakis took down the pot and now has a commanding chip lead early on in the final day.

Filippos Stavrakis: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Filippos Stavrakis opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and David Caruthers called from the big blind. The flop came down {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades} and action checked to Stavrakis who bet 45,000.

Caruthers made the call and the turn came the {a-Hearts}. Both players checked and {Q-Hearts} fell on the river. Caruthers then moved all in for 128,000 and Stavrakis thought for several moments before making the call.

Caruther tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} for two pair and Stavrakis then showed {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a rivered straight. Stavrakis took down the pot and added to his already healthy chip lead, while Caruthers finished in 11th.

Thayer Rasmussen was all in for his last 12,000 in the big blind before any cards were out. Jordan Siegel opened to 55,000 from early position and was called by Filippos Stavrakis from the cutoff. Peter Klein called from the button as well and the flop came down {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Action checked to Klein who then bet 189,000 and everyone else folded. Klein took in the side pot and was heads-up against Rasmussen for the main pot. Players showed their hands and Rasmussen would be at risk. Klein showed {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a flopped set of threes and Rasmussen tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of queens.

The turn came the {5-Clubs} and Rasmussen was still behind. The {7-Spades} on the river changed nothing as Klein picked up the pot, eliminating Rasmussen in the process.
