Hands #38-42: Wien Extends His Lead
Hand #38: Eric Blair made it 110,000 in the hijack and Shawn Buchanan came along from the big blind. Buchanan let Blair continue for 135,000 on the flop and called. The turn was quickly checked by both players and the river saw Buchanan fire 225,000. Blair quickly called with the winning hand, although it wasn't clear which exact hole cards he opened.
Hand #39: David Peters raised to 115,000 on the button, but folded after David Laka moved all in for 1.15 million out of the big blind.
Hand #40: Peters repeated his previous raise, and this time it went through uncontested.
Hand #41: Buchanan raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and John Amato flatted in the small blind. A Broadway flop landed as the dealer rolled out . Amato check-called 125,000 and then checked the turn. Buchanan checked back to see a blank river. Amato fired 415,000 and Buchanan let it go.
Hand #42: Eric Blair completed in the small blind and called when Jeremy Wien made it 155,000. They both checked the flop, then Blair led out 255,000 on the turn. Wien called and the paired the board. Blair checked and folded to Wien's bet of 275,000.
