After the player under the gun had opened to 700, the next player three-bet to 2,700 and Philippe Ktorza snap-shoved for 9,800. The initial raiser called and the other player folded.

Philippe Ktorza: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board brought {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Ktorza's hand held up to give him the double up.

Madsen Builds His Stack

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

A player in middle position opened to 700 and was called by the button, the small blind and Jeff Madsen in the big blind.

On the {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, only Madsen called the continuation bet of 825 from the player in middle position.

Both players checked throughout the {2-Clubs} turn and {q-Spades}. Madsen tabled {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair, which was enough to win the pot after his opponent showed {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Reard Building a Stack

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

On a board reading {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and a pot nearing 10,000 Alexandre Reard moved a large stack of 1,000 chips to put his opponent at risk for his tournament. After a long tank he eventually folded.

A few hands later the button player raised to 1,000 and Reard defended his big blind with {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked on the {4-}{5-}{8-} rainbow flop.

The {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Reard three-bet to 4,000 after his initial bet of 500 was raised to 1,600. His opponent made the call.

On the {k-} river Reard check-called a shove worth 15,000 to see {a-}{9-} in his opponent's hand.

That last hand took him to the brink of a 50,000 stack.
