Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and the 2018 World Series of Poker for Day 3 of Event #12: $1,500 Dealer's Choice!

Two days ago, 406 entrants took a seat in this event to set the record for total players mainly due to the new allowance of one re-entry. Previous champions David Bach, Carol Fuchs, and Lawrence Berg all fell to the rail on Day 1 as just 112 would survive the day's play.

Returning on Day 2, the action would play at an intense rate with the money reached fairly early before Aaron Steury (61st), Allen Kessler (60th), Martin Staszko (58th), Richard Ashby (47th), John Monnette (46th), Brandon Cantu (44th), Justin Young (40th), David Prociak (36th), Ben Yu (29th), Tony Cousineau (28th), Layne Flack (25th), Josh Arieh (23rd), and Tommy Hang (17th) all exited shy of Day 3.

Leading the remaining 15 players is Jeremy Harkin who roared to the top of the leaderboard following a double in the pot-limit Omaha rotation against Chris Klodnicki. Harkin held a wrap on the flop against Klodnicki's set, and when the straight filled on the turn, Harkin faded clubs and the board pairing to double into the chip lead before bagging 502,500.

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Frankie O'Dell (373,000), Brayden Gazlay (323,500), and George Trigeorgis (313,000) are the only other players over the 300,000-chip mark. Multiple WSOP bracelet winners still remain with Mike Leah (227,000), John Hennigan (169,000), Chris Vitch (143,500), Jeff Lisandro (137,000), Klodnicki (136,000), and Chris Bolek (122,500) all still in contention, along with actor James Woods (170,500).

Players are currently guaranteed $5,238 while an appearance at the final table of six will earn them $16,589. However it is the $129,882 first prize that everyone has their eyes on, along with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and title of Event #12 Champion.

Play is set to resume at 2:00 p.m. (PDT) with the final 15 playing down until the Event #12 Champion is crowned. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on the floor providing continuous live updates of all the Event #12 action, so stay tuned right here to PokerNews so you don't miss any action from this event, and the rest of the 2018 WSOP!

James Woods raised to 17,500 from the button and George Trigeorgis called in the small blind. Jimmy Fricke thought long and hard before sliding out his last 18,000. Woods and Trigeorgis called the additional 500, and the dealer spread a {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Trigeorgis bet 17,000 and Woods called as the {Q-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Trigeorgis bet 50,000, and Woods took a little over two minutes before folding.

Chris Vitch {X-}{X-} / {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} - fold

Scott Abrams bet with two wheel cards out and Chris Vitch called. Abrams spiked another wheel card on fifth street and barreled. Vitch counted his chip stack and decided to fold, leaving himself with just 27,000 or so.

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Vitch picked the next game and chose pot-limit 2-7 triple draw. He was in the small blind and the action folded to him. Vich potted, Abrams threw in more chips to cover his all-in and Vitch called off for the rest.

Abrams took two on the first draw and one on the second before patting the river with {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}.

Vitch had been dealt {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and kept drawing the fifth card but he couldn't get there as he peeled a {J-} on the river.

James Woods: {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{K-Clubs}

John Hennigan completed and Anthony Arvidson made it two bets. James Woods called and so did Hennigan. Arvidson continued with two wheel cards out and then three-bet over Hennigan's raise. Woods called twice and they continued three-way to fifth.

Arvidson paired fours and bet on fifth, earning two calls. His board double paired but sixth street was checked around. Hennigan then fired on seventh and Arvidson called. Woods couldn't escape and called as well.

Arvidson ended up scooping both halves of the three-way pot, sky-rocketing to a solid chip-stack.

Badeucey

James Woods raised to 24,000 from under the gun and Chris Klodnicki made it three bets in the cutoff. Anthony Arvidson made it 48,000 from the big blind, and both Woods and Klodnicki called.

Arvidson and Woods drew one, as Klodnicki drew two. Arvidson bet, Woods raised to 24,000, and Klodnicki called all in for 21,500. Arvidson called and stood pat as Woods drew one, and Klodnicki drew two.

Arvidson led out again, and Woods again raised. Arvidson called and both he and Woods stood pat as Klodnicki drew two.

Arvidson checked, Woods bet, and Arvidson called tabling his {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

However it would be Woods' {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} that would scoop the side pot.

Klodnicki tabled his {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and was looking for a low club, and then another low card. Unfortunately for Klodnicki, he could only find the {K-Spades} and {J-Hearts}, and he was eliminated in 9th place.
