Day 1c of Event #11: $365 PLO GIANT Pot-Limit Omaha is in the books with 23 of 492 entries moving on to Day 2. After 21 20-minute levels of play, Tim Andrew sits atop the counts after building a stack of 1,375,000.

A prize pool worth $147,600 was collected on Day 1c and the top 74 places were to be paid a prize. The day ended with 23 left, however, so the remaining prize pool will be added into the field for Day 2.

Joining Andrew at the top of the counts were Yoni Basin (1,130,000), Russell Sartin (1,025,000), Layne Flack, (825,000), Steve Gagliano (795,000), Sandeep Pulusani (670,000) and Joon Park (495,000).

The bubble popped in Level 16 before any hands of hand-for-hand play could be dealt. Just as the tournament staff told the dealers to pause, Tim Andrew flopped a set of kings and got his opponent to put his stack in the middle after flopping top two-pair. Andrew's opponent was the only player to bust at the time leaving the remaining field in the money.

Players to leave with some consolation on the day were Thomas Taylor (31st - $861), Ylon Schwartz (37th - $750), Kevin MacPhee (45th - $750), Mikhail Semin (55th - $605), Chris Back (57th - $605), Danny Wong (64th - $560), and Dan Zack (65th - $560).

Notables not able to find any traction on Day 1c included Scott Clements, Connor Drinan, David "ODB" Baker, Adam Owen, Phil Laak, Allen Kessler, and 2017 WSOP Player of the Year, Chris Ferguson.

On the flop of {6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Scott Clements bet 6,000 and called an all-in jam from his heads-up opponent. Clements' call put himself at risk, pushing forward his remaining 24,100.

Clements: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The {2-Diamonds} hit the turn and Clements improved to a full house on the river when the {5-Clubs} completed the board.

With just 4,200 in the pot on the river of a {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board, Rebecca Thompson three-bet shoved for 23,600 into her heads-up opponent. Her opponent went into the tank for a few moments and eventually made the call.

Thompson tabled the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a straight and her opponent mucked.

Day 1c of Event #11: $365 PLO GIANT Kicks Off at 7 p.m.

The third of five qualifying flights for Event #11: $365 PLO GIANT Pot-Limit Omaha is slated for Sunday afternoon at the 2018 World Series of Poker. Day 1c will get cards in the air at 7 p.m. local time inside the Miranda room at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

The brand new event for the 2018 WSOP has clearly gained some traction with a total of 946 entries across the first two flights. Just 50 have secured a set on Day 2 with some notable names heading up the leaderboard.

The current mark was sent on Day 1a by Pedro Arroyos who turned a starting stack of 25,000 into a mountain of 1,757,000. Two-time gold bracelet winner, Randy Holland is second best after bagging the chip lead on Day 1b with 1,450,000. Dzmitry Urbanovich, Leif Force, Aleksey Filatov, and Craig Chait are just a few of the names sitting among the leaders.

Every Day 1 will be playing 21 levels, each 20 minutes in length, and play will end after those levels are completed or if the field has been reduced down to just ten remaining. The players will be given a 20-minute break after every six levels of play and will not be having a dinner break on Day 1. There will be a starting stack of 25,000 and the blinds will begin at 25/50.

The late registration period runs until the end of Level 9 in which players can either enter or reenter if haven already busted. If a player makes it through on any given flight and opts to play another flight, their stack will then be forfeited from the previous flight. Players will play into the money during each flight and the remaining prize pool not awarded will be carried over to Day 2. Players may cash in multiple flights if they reach the top 15% of any flight, yet don’t survive with chips.

Here's a look at how the rest of the event will play out:
