The inaugural edition of Event #11: $365 PLO GIANT at the 2018 World Series of Poker kicks of at 7 p.m. local time at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Following on the heels of the popular GIANT format that was first introduced last year, this event will feature five starting flights, one each Sunday evening for the next five weeks.

Each Day 1 will play 21 20-minute levels or until 10 players remain, whichever comes first, with 20-minute breaks every six levels. When the survivors combine for Days 2 and 3, levels will be 40 minutes long. All players will begin with 25,000 chips and blinds will start at 25/50. Each starting flight will play into the money and all unawarded prize money will be carried forward to Day 2.

Players may register late or reenter until the conclusion of Level 9 and unlimited reentries are permitted. Once a player bags chips, they are not eligible to play in any subsequent starting flights. However, players may elect to forfeit their stack and reenter if desired. Players who make the money in a particular starting flight but don't bag chips are still eligible to enter later flights.

Action folded to the player in the hijack and he raised to 350. The cutoff called and Aleksey Filatov called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Filatov tossed out a pot-sized bet of 1,100. The hijack and cutoff both called.

The {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Filatov potted again, this time for 4,400. The hijack called and the cutoff folded.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Filatov bet 10,000. The hijack folded, exposing {Q-}{Q-}{7-} as he tossed his cards into the muck before the dealer pushed the pot Filatov's way.
