Level 30 Concludes; Two Eliminations Before First Break of the Day

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Sean Dempsey
Sean Dempsey

Only 44 minutes have elapsed on Day 7, but we find ourself on our first break at the conclusion of Level 30. The field of 27 is now 25 with the eliminations of Sean Dempsey (27th) and Brian Roberts (26th).

Dempsey bet-called all in on a completed board, then mucked when Mark Newhouse, a 2013 November Niner, showed a flush. Then Roberts found himself all in and at risk with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Eddy Sabat, and failed to improve despite flopping an open-ended Broadway draw.

Martin Jacobson remains the chip leader and the only player with over 20 million chips.

Play will resume in roughly 10 minutes.

Check out a quick Update with Remko and Sarah.

He called and the flop came down {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Sarra check-called a continuation of 275,000, allowing the {4-Spades} to hit the felt on the turn. Sarra checked for a second time and Sindelar fired 625,000. Sarra called once more.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Sarra checked again. Sindelar bet 950,000, and Sarra instantly called. Sindelar tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for top pair, prompting a muck from Sarra.

Feature Table Hands #13-17: Some Decent Hands for Zaichenko

Nível 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #13: Andrey Zaichenko raised to 350,000 from the cutoff and Craig McCorkell called from the big blind to see a flop of {5-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. McCorkell checked, Zaichenko bet 450,000, and the Brit called. After the dealer burned and turned the {7-Hearts}, both players checked and the {J-Clubs} completed the board on the river. McCorkell checked, Zaichenko bet 740,000, and McCorkell called. Zaichenko tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and it was good as McCorkell mucked.

Hand #14: Martin Jacobson opened for 350,000 from middle position and Felix Stephensen called from the cutoff. Mark Newhouse came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Two checks put action on Stephensen, and he bet 450,000. It did the trick as both his opponents folded.

Hand #15: Zaichenko raised to 350,000 from middle position, McCorkell called from the button, and Newhouse came along from the small blind to make it three-way action to the {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Newhouse was first to act and led out for 450,000, which prompted Zaichenko to raise to 1.1 million. McCorkell released his hand, and Newhouse folded to the raise.

Hand #16: Felix Stephensen raised to 350,000 from middle position and was met by a three-bet to 800,000 from Eddy Sabat in the hijack. Action folded back to Stephensen and he released his hand.

Hand #17: Zaichenko raised to 350,000 under the gun, Martin Jacobson called from the big blind, and the two saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Both players checked, the {Q-Hearts} appeared on the turn, and Jacobson bet 525,000. Zaichenko called and the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Jacobson checked, Zaichenko bet 750,000, and Jacobson called. Zaichenko tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a pair of aces, and it was good as Jacobson sent his cards to the muck.

Table 3 Hands #23-26: Big Double-Up For Sarra Jr

Nível 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Thomas Sarra Jr
Thomas Sarra Jr

Hand #23: Leif Force raised from the hijack to 350,000 and Dan Sindelar called from the big blind. The flop came down {9-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Sindelar check-folded when Force bet 350,000.

Hand #24: Andoni Larrabe raised to 325,000 from early position and both blinds called. The flop came down {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Larrabe who bet 375,000. Dan Sindelar check-raised to 925,000, Iaron Lightbourne folded and Larrabe made the call.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the river, the {J-Spades}, Sindelar bet 1,925,000 and Larrabe quickly folded his cards.

Hand #25: Thomas Sarra Jr raised to 350,000 from the cutoff and he took down this pot.

Hand #26: Sarra raised to 355,000 from the hijack and the action folded to Andoni Larrabe in the big blind. "How much do you have?" Larrabe asked Sarra, who responded he had a little over four million.

"All in," Larrabe then announced.

"All in?" Sarra questioned his opponent. "That's a big bet, a very big bet. I need to think about this one," Sarra continued.

After a brief pause Sarra continued thinking out loud and said, "That's a really big bet, why would you do that?"

Another 10 seconds went by and then Sarra called.

Sarra: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Larrabe: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

"Y'all are crazy!" Leif Force yelled in excitement.

"Holy s***!" Oscar Kemps added.

Everyone at the table started laughing, but Sarra was indeed all in for his tournament life.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Sarra found himself a very big double-up.

"Grande cojones!" Kemps yelled as Sarra raked in this big, "Big hairy balls!" the Dutchman continued as Larrabe shook his head in disbelief. The Spaniard who started the day with a very big stack is now among the shorter ones at this table.
