Steve Brecher's comeback has come to an end. It happened when Vladimir Shchemelev opened for 12,000 from middle position and Brecher three-bet all in for 45,000 from late position. Scott Palmer then four-bet to 100,000 from the small blind and Shchemelev got out of the way.

Brecher's best chance of survival was to catch an ace, and he found one on the 
flop. Unfortunately for him, Palmer also found a jack for a set. The 
turn left Brecher drawing dead, and after the 
was put out on the river he took his leave from the 2014 WSOP Main Event.
