Hand #273: Van Hoof Falls to Shortest Stack

Nível 40 : 600,000/1,200,000, 200,000 ante

Martin Jacobson had the button.

After Jacobson folded, Felix Stephensen limped in from the small blind, and Jorryt van Hoof raised to 3 million from the big blind. Stephensen called, and the dealer spread the {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Stephensen led with a bet of 4.3 million, and van Hoof called to see fourth street.

The {4-Spades} landed on the turn, and Stephensen bet 8.5 million. Van Hoof called, and the pot pushed over 32 million going to the river.

The river was the {4-Hearts} to pair the board. Stephensen had 26.4 million behind and stuck out a bet of 15.5 million. With 50.1 million behind in his own stack, van Hoof went into the tank. The Dutchman eventually relinquished his holding, and the Stephensen supporters sprung to their feet to cheer on their man as he pulled in the pot.

Hand #272: Jorryt van Hoof

Nível 40 : 600,000/1,200,000, 200,000 ante

From the button, Jorryt van Hoof opened to 2.6 million and Felix Stephensen made the call to see a {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop fall.

Stephensen checked and van Hoof bet out 2.4 million which Stephensen called as the {8-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players checked as the {Q-Spades} landed on the river and Stephensen checked for a third time before van Hoof checked also.

Stephensen tabled his {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}, but it would be van Hoof's {7-Spades}{5-Clubs} that would see him capture the pot.
