Two Pair For Reinkemeier

Nível 13 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Tobias Reinkemeier
Tobias Reinkemeier

Tobias Reinkemeier raised to 225,000 from the button and Doug Polk called from the big blind. The flop came down {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Polk check-called a bet of 250,000.

On the turn the {3-Hearts} popped up and Polk checked again to Reinkemeier who bet 650,000 this time around. Polk tanked for a while and called after which the river brought the {K-Spades}. Polk checked and Reinkemeier tanked for quite a bit before checking behind.

Polk showed {9-}{6-} and Reinkemeier turned over {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair, which was the winning hand.

A Newey Hope; Newey Doubles Through Ivey

Nível 13 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Paul Newey Doubles
Paul Newey Doubles

Phil Ivey opened to 230,000 from under the gun and it folded to Paul Newey three seats over. He announced an all in three bet for 2.38 million total and it came back around to Ivey who moved out a call.

Ivey showed {J-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} but was behind Newey's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The dealer burned a card and dealt the {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, keeping Newey's ladies in the lead. The {10-Clubs} dropped down on the turn, meaning Ivey would need to catch one of the two remaining jacks to score the knockout.

The river was the {5-Spades}, sending Newey's rail into a tizzy as he scored the double up and found new life in this tournament. Newey now has about 4.8 million while Ivey has fallen to 7.59 million.

Last Hand Before Break

Nível 13 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Right before the break, Phil Galfond led out for 175,000 on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and his neighbor Tony Gregg raised to 415,000. Galfond called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts}, both players checked, and the {a-Spades} completed the board. Galfond led out for 545,000, and Gregg went deep into the tank. The 2013 One Drop High Roller winner cracked his knuckles and leaned forward in his chair, examining the board. He then turned his attention to his own stack, then looked blankly to the ceiling, murmuring several things under his breath.

He finally called, committing more than a quarter of his remaining stack, and Galfond turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Gregg mucked, then immediately exited the area for a break.

We talk about why he's not playing this year, why the field is smaller compared to two years ago, what he thinks about Erick Lindgren winning his seat and getting patched up by DraftKings.
