Melanie Weisner check-called from the big blind as Jeremy Kottler fired 12,000 on the flop and 18,000 on the turn on a board. Weisner checked the river, and Kottler bet heftier: 46,000. Weisner let her hand go after thinking for a minute.
Down to his last 20,000, Phil Hellmuth opened to 10,000 in middle position. Michael Tureniec shoved on the button for about 112,000, and Alberto Gomez called from the small blind. Hellmuth put the rest of his chips in.
Hellmuth's triple up was secure by the turn as the board came , while Gomez eliminated Tureniec and took the side pot.
David Miscikowski raised from the button to 10,500, Phil Hellmuth folded in the small blind, but Anthony Spinella three-bet all-in for 95,000 effective. Miscikowski called of his remaining chips and the cards were revealed.
The race was over as quickly as it started because the flop ran to give Spinella a set of eights and leave Spinella drawing extremely thinly. The on the turn meant Spinella was drawing dead, rendering the on the river a total brick.
