Andrejevic Chipping Up Nicely

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Andjelko Andrejevic started the day second in chips. We have not seen him involved in a whole lot of big pots, but he has been fairly active here early on and has built one of the bigger stacks in the room.

He is certainly someone we will keeping an eye on as the day progresses, as he is up to over 200,000.

Pay Attention

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The players at the table called the floor so everything was above board but they already knew what the ruling would be.

A player had raised from early position for 4,500. The small blind made it 5,000 and when the big blind folded the small blind mucked his hand irretrievably.

The small bind got 500 back and the pot was pushed to the original raiser. Even at the World Series of Poker players can make simple mistakes if their concentration wavers for just a second.

Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Andrew Lichtenberger raised under the gun to 4,500 and it folded around to the big blind who called. The flop came {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the player in the big blind checked. Lichtenberger bet 5,500 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {3-Spades} and Lichtenberger's opponent bet 7,000 . Lichtenberger made the call and rolled over {a-Spades}{2-Spades} for the wheel. His opponent mucked and Lichtenberger is back over 100,000.

“So Weird”

Nível 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Nachman Berlin opened from under the gun plus one and got two callers including Robert Kuhn in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Kuhn checked and Berlin made a continuation bet of 7,300. The other player folded and Kuhn check-raised all in.

Berlin asked for his bet to be matched from his opponent's stack so he could see how much more it was to call and it was approximately 35,000 more.

Berlin sighed and weighed the situation. “What can you have? That’s so weird.”

A reluctant fold in the end from Berlin led to him pleading to see Kuhn’s cards but he refused reasoning that as no one else was showing he wasn’t about to be the first.
