Kuhn Busts Another, As Does Fricke

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Jimmy Fricke
Jimmy Fricke

Robert Kuhn didn't waste any time sending another player to the rail. We didn't witness the hand, but Kuhn told us his {a-}{q-} busted another pair of jacks, as he again got it all in preflop for approximately 95,000 and won the race for a second time in just a few minutes.

Another hand was brewing at the table as Jimmy Fricke opened to 5,600 from early position and a player in middle position raised to 13,500. Fricke made the call and checked after a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}. His opponent also checked and the turn was the {5-Hearts}. Fricke led out for 12,000 and his opponent made the call.

The river brought the {7-Diamonds} and Fricke moved all in. His opponent called, tabling {q-}{q-}. They were not even close to good, though as Fricke turned over {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for quads and an elimination.

Double Knockout for Beaudoin

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We arrived at the table as two players were departing and Dale Beaudoin was stacking their chips, knocking them both out in the same hand with {a-}{k-} to increase his lead in the tournament.

“I was oh-for-five with ace-king before that hand.” He told this reporter. Make that 1-for-6 and a mound of chips.

Kuhn Busts a Player

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Robert Kuhn opened from under the gun. It folded around to the big blind who shoved all in and Kuhn made the call. Kuhn had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and needed to improve against the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} of his opponent.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} and Kuhn's opponent was at risk and looking for one of two outs or two runners. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{7-Spades} though and Kuhn is over the century mark.
