We noticed the seat formerly occupied by Jason Mercier was vacated, and a quick check with Ed Brogdan confirmed that the South Florida native had been eliminated.
As Brogdan told it, Mercier got his last 9,500 or so all in preflop holding against an opponent's . The board ran out clean and that was all she wrote for Mercier.

We caught up with Tony Dunst, host of the World Poker Tour's Raw Deal, on the first Day 2 break of Event #29: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em.
Daniel Strelitz raised to 3,800 from the small blind and called when the big blind moved all-in for around 20,000 chips in total.
Strelitz showed and was slightly ahead of the of his opponent. The big blind paired his seven on the flop, but couldn't find any more of his outs on the turn or the river.
Strelitz, who finished third in the $1,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event for $180,587 in prize money, now has 188,000 chips in this event.
