One Win, One Loss for Bardah

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Action folded to Fabio Sousa in middle position and he raised to 9,500. Last year's 24th-place finisher Ronnie Bardah reraised to 24,500 from the cutoff. Everyone folded back to Sousa and he tanked for a bit. Eventually, Sousa folded and Bardah won the pot.

On the next hand, action folded to Bardah in the hijack seat. He opened to 9,000. Matthew Kay reraised from the button to 25,000 and the blinds folded through to Bardah. He called to see the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop. Bardah checked and Kay fired 28,000. Bardah thought for a little bit, but then folded his hand.

Kabrhel Doubles, Then Drops a Few

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Martin Kabrhel began today with a needed double-up, making a straight with {K-}{Q-} to survive against an opponent holding {K-}{K-}.

Shortly after that one, Kabrhel opened with a raise to 8,500 from middle position and got one caller from the player in the hijack seat. The flop came {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Kabrhel continued with a bet of 9,500, and his opponent called.

The turn then brought the {6-Hearts}. Kabrhel thought a moment, then checked, and his opponent quickly fired a bet of 15,000. Kabrhel tanked for some time, then let his hand go.

After starting the day with that boost, Kabrhel drops a few to sit with 114,000 here in the early going.

Lisandro on Life Support

The action folded around to Jeffrey Lisandro who raised to 10,500 from the hijack position before the flop; the player in the cutoff called, so it was heads-up to the flop of {9-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, which they both checked.

When the {10-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, Lisandro bet out 15,500, but the cutoff called, so Lisandro checked his option on the river of the {8-Spades}. The cutoff shoved for 225,000 and this sent Lisandro into the tank for several minutes before another player called for a clock. Lisandro ended up folding his hand.

Tehan Takes Hit

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

German Teitelbaoum opened to 9,500 from the cutoff seat, Joe Tehan three-bet to 25,000 on the button, and Teitelbaoum called. The flop fell {4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Teitelbaoum checked. Tehan tossed out 24,000, and Teitelbaoum check-raised, sliding out a tower of orange T5,000 chips.

"Bring it in," Tehan asked the dealer.

The dealer cut out the chips, and they totaled 71,500. Tehan tanked for a little longer, and eventually released his cards.

Cunningham Busts Overton

With the cameras rolling, it was folded around to Allen Cunningham on the button who raised to 10,000. Aaron Overton then re-raised all in for around 67,000 total from the small blind. Cunningham made the call and the players turned over their hands.

Cunningham: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Overton: {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Some of the players wowed over Overton’s holding that was dominated but that was before the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop came down to give Overton an open-ended straight draw to the ace or six that produced more wows. The {3-Spades} turn and {K-Hearts} river bricked for him though and Cunningham delivered the knockout to boost his stack a bit.

Travis Erdman opened to 8,000 from the cutoff, Bryan Follain called from the button and the player in the big blind called as well. The flom came {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. The big blind checked, Erdman bet 17,000, Follain folded and the big blind called. Both players checked the {A-Diamonds} turn and the {6-Diamonds} came on the river. After a checkd Erdman bet 50,000 and got a call. Erdman tabled {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} for a rivered set and is up to 595,000.
