WSOPC #3: $3,000 Deepstack No-Limit Hold'em Championship
Dia 1 Terminado
After a little over 10 hours of play, Christian Jeppsson has taken down the WSOPC #3: $3,000 Deepstack No-Limit Hold'em Championship. The Swede made it through 504 total runners, and chopped the prize money heads up to win $213,928. Once the deal was made, Jeppsson went on a run, finally taking it down a few hands later when he turned a pair to crack Daan "DaanOss" Mulders' ace.
This is Jeppsson's first World Series of Poker Circuit ring, and is worth more than his biggest live cash to date, a win at the 2008 EPT Budapest in €2,000 + 100 No Limit Hold'em for the equivalent of $151,977 USD.
Place | Name | Country | Prize |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Christian Jeppsson | Sweden | $213,928 |
2 | Daan "DaanOss" Mulders | Netherlands | $213,400 |
3 | Laurynas Levinskas | Lithuania | $137,325 |
4 | Sosia "Aunty_Ninja" Jiang | New Zealand | $102,979 |
5 | Kristen Bicknell | Canada | $77,223 |
6 | David "BKBroker" Fernandez | Canada | $57,909 |
7 | Grant "yukeepplayi" Ellis | Canada | $43,426 |
8 | Anton Wigg | Sweden | $32,565 |
9 | Hessinator | Germany | $24,420 |
They ended up with 504 total entries when the gates came down on registration, and the action went lightning fast from there. There were still about 175 players left in action at that point fighting for the $1,436,400 in prizes, but it took less than 90 minutes for them to play down into the cashing spots.
It only took about two and a half more hours to play down to the final table. Along the way, players like Bryan Paris, Urmo Velvelt, Ole Schemion, Joao Vieira, and Andrii Novak busted with a payout.
Things slowed down a bit once they hit the final table, and they played nine handed for about 40 minutes before "Hessinator" was the first to exit for $24,420. Anton Wigg followed a few minutes later when his nines couldn't hold against overs, setting off a string of eliminations that had play four-handed within half an hour.
Action went four handed after Canada's Kristen Bicknell busted after losing most of her stack in a three-way cooler with fours into two over-pairs. They played four-handed for nearly an hour before the end-game kicked off.
All four players had the chip lead at some time, but it was finally Sosia "Aunty_Ninja" Jiang exiting in fourth that got the ball rolling. Jeppsson spiked an ace against her tens, and Jeppsson went on to eliminate Laurynas Levinskas and Mulders in short order to take it all down.
After the deal was made, Christian Jeppsson went on a string of rungood that culminated in a hand where Daan "DaanOss" Mulders limped, then called the big stack shove from Jeppsson.
