Another Double for Danzer

Nível 19

Razz

Catching the action on fourth street, George Danzer bet and Scott Clements raised to 10,000 with Tino Lechich calling also. Danzer made it three bets to go and both Clements and Lechich called before Danzer led fifth and only Clements called. Danzer bet sixth with Clements calling before Danzer moved all in for 6,100 on seventh with Clements calling.

Danzer: {X-}{X-} / {4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {X-}
Clements: {X-}{X-} / {2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {X-}
Lechich: {X-}{X-} / {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs} (folded on fifth)

Danzer tabled his {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a nine-seven low to double to 125,000 as Clements mucked and slipped to roughly 70,000.

Lechich Pushes on Danzer

Nível 18

No-Limit Hold'em

On the first hand of the final table, and last of this game, the action folded to Tino Lechich in the small blind and he raised to 6,000.

George Danzer called in the big blind as the dealer fanned a {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop with Lechich moving all in.

Danzer went into the tank for a few moments before eventually releasing his hand as Lechich tabled his {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a semi-bluff.

Welcome back to Crown Melbourne and the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific for the Event #8: AU$5,000 8-Game Mixed final table.

48 players took a seat on Friday to create an AU$225,600 prizepool that will just this final six take home their deserved slice of it. And what a six it is! Scott Clements is the chip leader with 179,200 and will be looking to capture his third career WSOP bracelet. Sitting just behind Clements is Canadian and 2010 World Champion Jonathan Duhamel (175,200) who is making his fifth WSOP final table; third down here in Australia over the last two years.

Several days ago Sam Khouiss took second in the Event 6: AU$1,650 8-Game Dealer's Choice and instantly parlayed that into a seat in this event. An Australian poker stalwart and avid player of mixed games, he will be hoping to turn his second consecutive WSOP Asia-Pacific final table into a bracelet. Fourth in chips is Tino Lechich who was one of the last minute entrants on Day 2 and will be hoping his eighth WSOP cash and second final table is also his first WSOP bracelet.

The second shortest stack with 79,100 is German Ismael Bojang who is registering his 13th WSOP cash of the year and an amazing fourth this week here at WSOP Asia-Pacific which equates to the all-time record set by Russian Konstantin Puchkov in 2012 who had 11 at the WSOP and one at WSOP Europe.

The final story of the final table is German George Danzer - who with this in-the-money finish - has now taken back the lead from Brandon Shack-Harris in a battle that has been rather interesting down here in Australia. With Danzer holding the lead, he will be hoping to further his lead to reduce the chances of Shack-Harris closing the gap over the final two events of the series.
