The second of three Short Deck events will be kicking off today with the Triton £100,000 Short Deck Main Event. The fast-paced, high action style game will be sure to attract some of the best and biggest gamblers in the world, who will all be gunning to take down a share of the hefty first-place prize.
The last time a Short Deck tournament of this magnitude happened it was a well-known french pro Rui Cao taking down the title. He defeated Triton co-founder Paul Phua heads up for an immense $3,351,130 first-place prize.
The tournament saw a total of 47 unique entries, with 51 re-entries, accumulating a total fo 98 total entries which compiled a prize pool of $ 11,737,873. The Triton London series has been surpassing all expectation thus far and is sure to do so again in the Short Deck main event tonight.
One of the many players who will be making an appearance in the Short Deck main event is partypoker pro Jason Koon, who has a tremendous track record in Short Deck tournaments. Koon is a Triton regular who has over $30 million in live tournament earnings, with his biggest and second-biggest cashes to date coming in a Triton Short Deck event, totaling over six million combined.
The tournament will run on an ante only structure, with everyone paying the ante and the button paying a double ante. All players will start the day with three 100,000 bullets and may use them at any time. Unlimited re-entries are available until the end of late registration and all players remaining at that point will need to cash in any bullets that have not been used. A shot clock will be brought into play when the tournament reaches the final 18 and all runners left will then get ten 30-second time bank cards.
The first day of this event will play a total of seven 60-minute levels before bagging up and moving on to the second day. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels of play and a 45-dinner break will happen at the end of the fourth level. The players can late register until the end of the first level on the second day.

First to act was Tan Xuan who raised to 12,000 and Sam greenwood called on the button. The flop came down , Xuan checked to Greenwood, he bet 8,000 and Xuan called.
A hit the felt as a turn card and both players checked to the river. Xuan fired in 25,000 and Greenwood snap-called. Xuan tabled for a flopped boat, Greenwood mucked and Xuan scooped in the early pot.

Isaac Haxton was the first to act and raised it up to 7,000. Jesus Cortes called in the hijack and Rui Cao moved all in for 33,000. Haxton shoved over the top and Cortes called for his remaining stack of around 140,000.

The dealer fanned out on the flop and Haxton's big slick was way ahead. A came on the turn, meaning Haxton needed to dodge a queen to take down the pot.
An came on the river and Haxton's two pair took down the pot. Both Cao and Cortes used a bullet, topping back up to 100,000.
