HK $250,000 6-Max Event

Dia 1 Começado

6-Max Ready to Kick Off Triton Super High Roller Series Macau

The swirling winds of a threatening typhoon won’t stop the 2017 Triton Super High Roller Series from entering Asia’s largest gaming destination for the first time this afternoon. The Galaxy Macau Hotel in Taipa, Macau will host two prestigious events this week with the first kicking off at 4:00 p.m. local time on Monday.

Getting the cards in the air first will be an HK $250,000 (approx. US $32,000) 6-Max event that will play out over the course of the next two days. The unlimited re-entry event features 40-minute blind levels and a starting stack of 50,000 chips.

The third Triton Super High Roller Series of 2017 will see some of the best and brightest minds in poker face off against wealthy amateurs ready and waiting for the challenge.

In February of this year, Dan Colman captured the title of the 6-Max event in Manila defeating Erik Seidel heads-up in a 43-entry field for HK $3,641,600. A few months later in Montenegro, Fedor Holz emerged victorious in the 6-Max event. Holz topped a field of 41 entries and banked a first place prize of HK $3,472,200.

The event will go ahead as scheduled after the possibility of pushing things ahead due to a typhoon that ravaged the waters around Macau on Sunday forcing flights, ferries, and buses to be suspended for the day. The skies have cleared up and transportation is back to normal.

When Day 1 of the 6-Max gets underway at 4 PM on Monday afternoon, play will continue until the end of Level 9. Day 2 will pick up the action at 1 PM on Tuesday and play down to a winner.

The highlight and headlining event of the series is set for 1 PM on Wednesday afternoon. The Main Event takes center stage and the buy-in raises to HK $1,000,000 (approx. US $128,000).

Keep it locked to the blog as PokerNews will be on the floor throughout the series providing live-updates and coverage of both events. Follow @pokernews on Twitter for live updates and more. Also, follow PokerNews on Facebook and Instagram.

All Diamonds for Patgorski

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

After a {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop fanned out, Steffen Sontheimer checked, Gabe Patgorski bet 400, and Cheok Cheong raised to 900. Sontheimer three-bet to 3,200 only to see Patgorski four-bet making it 9,400 total. Both players called and the {3-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Patgorski continued with a bet of 11,000 seeing Cheong call and Sontheimer check-fold. The {4-Clubs} was issued on the river and Patgorski slid out his stack of yellow T-5,000 chips, enough to put Cheong all-in, and Cheong eventually folded.

Patgorski went to put his cards in the muck but decided to show and turned over {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped flush.
