Action Begins
The $10,000 Mixed NLHE/PLO Event is underway. There are currently four players, and late registration is open through the end of Level 4 (roughly two hours from now).
Who Signed Up?
Still just 4 players have signed up for the side event. Three of them we've seen before: Steven Uccio (winner of the first side event), Talal Shakerchi and Dan Fleyshman all played before here in Monaco this week. The fourth player is Daniel Smith, a recreational player from Monaco who won a tournament in Cannes back in 2014 for €88,000.

Daniel Smith, not to be mistaken for Dan Smith, has been eliminated. The tournament is 3-handed.
Dan Fleyshman Eliminated
That means Talal Shakerchi is heads-up against Steven Uccio. Late registration is still open for 15 more minutes, but if one of the two wins, the tournament is done.
Uccio in Charge
The blinds have just ticked up to 400/800 (with a 100 ante in the no-limit Hold'em hands) and as the level got underway Steven Uccio has roughly 54,000 while Talal Shakerchi has 26,000. Plenty of play left in this one.

During a hand of no-limit Hold'em Steven Uccio further strengthened his lead. He opened to 2,000 on the button and Talal Shakerchi called. The British businessmen called further bets of 2,500 and 6,500 on the flop and turn of a 
board before folding to Uccio's shove on the 
river.
Uccio showed 
as he took the pot and now leads with 62,000 to Shakerchi's 18,000.
Shakerchi Bounces Back
Talal Shakerchi had almost regained parity by the time a bit Pot-limit Omaha pot went down. All the chips went in on a 
flop with the players holding the following:

Uccio was a 58% favourite to end the tournament right here but a 
on the turn gave Shakerchi the lead and he held on the 
river. He was all-in for 34,800 so now has over 70,000 of the 80,000 chips in play.
Small Pot Poker
No big pots of note over the last 20 minutes but Steven Uccio has closed the gap on Talal Shakerchi. The latter still has a chunky lead though and looks to be up about 55,000 to 25,000.
Uccio Closing the Gap
Very few showdowns and no big pots of note to tell you about. But, Steven Uccio has won more of the small and medium pots, particularly in the pot-limit Omaha rotation. It all means that Talal Shakerchi's lead has been cut to around 48,000 plays 32,000. Blinds are currently 800/1,600.
