After almost nine hours, Day 1 of the PokerStars SCOOP 85-H: $1,050 PKO Thursday Thrill SE has come to an end with 61 players out of 1,047 entries making it through to Day 2. The tournament was part of the extended schedule and is one of the ones with a whopping $1,000,000 guarantee and surpassed this as all those entries created a prize pool of $1,047,000. Out of all those players, 127 players would cash for at least 41,11 (excluding any bounties they have earned). The winner will eventually walk away with $73,597 and the bounties they have collected on the way to victory including their own.

Claiming the Day 1 chip lead is Rui "sousinha23" Sousa who hails from Portugal but resides in Croatia. He finished the day with an incredible 8,974,565 chips which is more than double than what the second place currently has. He earned most of those chips when he scooped a huge double-up through Alisson "heyalisson" Piekazewicz who had been chip leading the tournament for most of the day. Piekazewicz had rivered a flush when she called Sousa's shove who had turned the full house.

Sousa is followed in the counts by "G A W" (4,004,932), "Neyko348" (3,510,006), "DaanOss" (3,390,550), and Jamie "Ship It 2010" O'Connor with 3,384,432. But there are many more notable names to pick in the list of players to keep an eye on. Players like Jakob "Succeeed" Miegel, Kyriakos "9cream4" Papadopoulos, Mike "gorodski" Gorodinsky, Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves, Scott "D_DIGGLER99" Hill, Nick “justnl2” Lampropoulos, and Pete “psxfrcndhe" Chen are just some of the more familiar names and faces left in the field.

Mateusz "KeyserMM" Moolhuizen was responsible for bursting the bubble when he took out "juswhackit and then all the eliminations starting flying in. Moolhuizen himself also failed to make it through to Day 2. Piekazewicz busted as the last player of the day and cashed for $1,805 plus $6,406 in bounties. Other notable names to have cashed today include Eder "edercampana" Campana, Michael "Skämmes" Tureniec, Ivan "Negriin" Luca, Calvin "cal42688" Anderson, Jareth "jareth3542" East, Oliver "sk2ll_m0dR" Weis, Ryhor "Grisha1983" Karapanau, Jonathan "Corback_fr" Therme, Shawn "buck21" Buchanan and Kevin "torino2000" Killeen for example.

When the players return at 1 p.m. EST on Friday, May 22, they will finish the last seven minutes of Level 24 which features a small blind of 17,500, big blind of 35,000, and a running ante of 4,500. The tournament has ended with around seven minutes left in Level 24 and 61 players making it through to Day 2.

The big blind folded and Christiansen shoved with the biggest stack for Gorodinsky to call for the 858,515 he had behind and Piekazewicz for the remainder of her stack.

The board ran out for Gorodinsky to hold and bust Piekazewicz while earning a full double through Christiansen.

Kevin "torino2000" Killeen raised to 66,000 from the cutoff and "L1VeYRdrEamS" three-bet to 185,000 on the button. The action folded back to Killeen who shoved for 1,127,850 and was called.
