Welcome To Day 1 of the 2020 PokerStars SCOOP Event #75-L: $109 PLO [6-Max, Main Event] $500k Gtd

With the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) having been recently extended through May 31, today marks the first of three Main Event Weekends for the now month-long series. Event #75-L: $109 PLO [6-Max, Main Event] $500k Gtd is one of those Main Events, and will be getting underway at 3:30 p.m. ET.

With the guaranteed prize pool recently having been increased an extra $100,000 from the original $400,000, there is no question this event will be one of the most important tournaments in thousands of players' Sunday schedules. Players will receive 25,000 in chips to begin with blinds starting at 75/150 and increasing every 20 minutes through the duration of this three-day event.

Late registration is open for five hours and five minutes, and all players are allowed up to three re-entries (four total bullets) for this event. Day 1 will conclude when play reaches the money, with Day 2 resuming at 1:05 p.m. ET on Monday, May 18 to play until 18 players remain on the final three tables. Day 3 will then be at 1:05 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 19, and will run until a champion has been crowned.

Pot-Limit Omaha is always full of action, and the prestige of adding one's name to the list of SCOOP champions will require the eventual winner to bring their best over three full days at the virtual felt. Some 2020 PLO SCOOP winners so far include the likes of Ole "wizowizo" Schemion and Connor "blanconegro" Drinan, and three more will begin their journeys onto the three-day-long Main Events in the coming hours.

The three went to a flop of and "ryan2008333" shoved for their last 7,000. "RaisingRay91" called to put action onto "kingbenno" who reraised the pot to put "RaisingRay91" all in for their last 22,000. A call was made and all three hands were shown.

"Telfj9" checked to Strebkov, who made a bet of 8,300 and received a call from "festrolii." "Telfj9" put in a pot-sized check-raise o 45,200, enough to put both other players in the hand all in, and both players called.

"WohnJick" checked to "Yamisou1985," who made a continuation-bet of 4,200, half the size of the pot. "WohnJick" called.

The turn came and "WohnJick" checked again. "Yamisou1985" fired a second barrel of 9,600 and "WohnJick" called, bringing the river . "WohnJick" led out with a pot-sized bet of 36,000 and "Yamisou1985" reraised the size of the pot, making it 144,000 to go and leaving just 5,600 behind. "WohnJick" called, leaving only 4,600 behind.

"Yamisou1985" showed for a full house, tens full of threes, and "WohnJick" mucked to leave themselves with crumbs as the pot of 324,000 was shipped to "Yamisou1985," who now finds themselves with a top-five stack in the tournament.

"WohnJick" was eliminated shortly thereafter for what was the third time in the tournament, and they have not yet used their fourth and final bullet. It will remain to be seen if they choose to do so, as there is still more than an hour remaining in the late registration period.
