After 15 levels of play on the virtual felt, Day 1 has come to a close in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) $10,300 NLH Main Event on PokerStars. This star-studded field saw 673 entries join throughout the day, and with late registration still open until the start of Day 2 on Monday, November 7, should smash the $7,000,000 guarantee.

Currently 222 players remain in the hunt for WCOOP gold and Thorsten "juicetus" Legit found the top of the leaderboard with an impressive run up to 2,791,391, more than ten times starting stack.

Many notables were in the mix early on and some who found a bag for Day 2 include Team PokerStars Pro Sam "SamSquid" Grafton (1,372,605), online regular Neville "NevilleWeeee" Costa (1,632,644), and high stakes crusher Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos (875,068).

On the {q-Clubs} turn both players checked their options to the {9-Clubs} river. Gutierrez decided to lead out for 112,500 and without much thought, Grafton moved all in, covering the 117,980 behind for Gutierrez, who made the call.

$10,300 NLH World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event Kicks Off at 12:30 EST

Welcome to the $10,300 NLH Main Event in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on PokerStars. Cards go in the air at 12:30 EST (17:30 GMT) for the first of four days in the prestigious online championship event.

This tournament was originally scheduled on the 25th of September, however due to a DDoS attack has been rescheduled and is bigger and better with the three-tiered Main Events having an extra $2,500,000 added to the guaranteed prize pools.

This tournament now features a $7,000,000 guarantee and is part of a trio of No-Limit Hold’em Main Events that includes a $109 buy-in with $3,000,000 guaranteed and a $1,050 World Championship that promises $5,000,000.

Players will start with 250,000 in chips and blinds will increase every 30 minutes. The first day of the tournament will play 15 levels and return on Monday at 12:35 EST (17:35 GMT) for Day 2. Day 3 will play out on Tuesday and the finale will be held on Wednesday. Registration will close just before the beginning of Day 2 and up to three re-entries are allowed during the registration period.
